Steven Curtis Chapman's personal blog. Okay, I’m gonna say this right off the bat…I’m gonna fail at this blogging thing. I'm told this is to be Short-n-sweet entries that don’t try to go too deep or try to communitcate too much information. To which I say, “yeah, right!” You see, I don’t do “short-n-sweet”, “not too deep” is not a concept I grasp and “too much information” is my middle name. With all that said, I’m gonna attempt this business of blogging and see what happen.
God only knows everything that's happened in this lifetime. I have wept and agonized over and over as I listen to your CD "Hope Will Rise". God has used the message in every song to release and begin the healing work neccessary...but then, He knows. I hope to be able to attend your concert in Leawood in a few weeks. I hope God provides, if so I'll be harmonizing with all I am, because HE IS.

I recently requested the price of your tickets for April 23 in Leawood, Kansas. My friends and I would have loved to come hear and see you in person. Unfortuantely, your tickets start at $44 up to $65. It is more than we can pay. I am sorry we will miss seeing you. Your voice and message you send are awesome. God be with you and bless you.

Dear Mr Chapman, Hello.
This is kinda sappy and a bit late in coming, but you coming into concert at Leawood, KS made me think to write to you now, I live in Missouri. I am sorry if it will bring up any fresh wounds, it is not ment too. But here it goes, I have been wanting to write to you for some time to let know know how I feel, This maybe close to how your family feels, the only difference is you forgave another family member, I forgave a total stranger. This young man stole my daughter, did very bad things to her, then dumped her off in a trash bin, he gave himself up the next day and the world turned upside down for me and my family. I could not be hateful or bitter like all those around me and God helped me forgive him. I am writing this to you to say thank you for shouting out Gods Grace for those of us who just can't seem to find the right words to say them to His Glory, I know I will see my baby again, He let me have that peace. You are a treasure God Bless you and your family.

Steven, I believe GOD has been showing me a PROMISE that is going to come forth for you, beyond comprehension in the human mind, but part of HIS plan. Stand strong, you are about to see the 'veil rent again' and all that involves (and did involve). GOD BLESS SOLDIER, March on!

Hi, I am from West Cobb Winter Guard, a middle school winterguard which competed in the Southern Association for Performance Arts (SAPA) this season. Okay, so you probably don't know what that is. Some background info about winterguard so this will make more sense:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_guard
This year, West Cobb Winterguard peroformed to your song, "Cinderella." The name of our show was called "As Time Slips Away." In the beginning of your song, we had a voice-over recorded, which says "We will forever hold dear these moments in our lives, where pure joy came from simple things as time slips away." Our show basically just tells the story of your song in a visual manner. So, We have three girl soloists and three dad soloists for each verse of the song: Little Girl and dad, Prom girl and dad, and then wedding girl and dad.I must say, it is a very cool, albeit tear-jerking show.
Sorry this was so long, but I though it would be cool to let you know about our show.Thanks.:)

That is just not right! It's okay to be gone for so long, but to come back and give nothing. It's just not right man!

Dear Steve & fam,
I grew up listening to your music and you've been such an inspiration for me. My four daughters and I are here standing strong because of God's mercy and grace and He has seen us through so much because He is faithful no matter what. I just wanted to share a dream I had with you. This was about three years ago and you were singing a new spontaneous song and it was called "Diamonds on the water.." I thank God that He is the One you rest on and lean upon and you will see His glory in a mighty way and your family. You and your family are in my prayers and in my heart always.

This choice is a bit easier. Santana fulfills all the typical requirements for a Cy Young winner. He plays on a winning team and he leads the AL in the following categories: wins, ERA, IP, SO, BAA, WHIP and winning percentage. That’s a dominant line, and Santana held it together for the Twins’ surge towards the postseason when promising staff mate Francisco Liriano went down with injury. Santana will be a proud addition to the list of Cy Young winners.

Just as I was thinking "Steven, you don't do anything quick..." HAHAHAHA! That really tickled my funny bone! Thanks for the laugh.
Seriously. Hope all is going well with you and yours. Still prayin'! So cool about the boys, MB's book & your guitar!
