Steven Curtis Chapman's personal blog. Okay, I’m gonna say this right off the bat…I’m gonna fail at this blogging thing. I'm told this is to be Short-n-sweet entries that don’t try to go too deep or try to communitcate too much information. To which I say, “yeah, right!” You see, I don’t do “short-n-sweet”, “not too deep” is not a concept I grasp and “too much information” is my middle name. With all that said, I’m gonna attempt this business of blogging and see what happen.
Sent back from Maria's Big House of Hope in China, Steven announces some of the details of his new project first to you! his video blog friends. BEAUTY WILL RISE is available November 3rd.
Thanks for the tour of MBHOH. What a beautiful place. I hope one day that I might be able to visit there and love on the children. I'm excited about the release of the new album. Your music has always touched my heart and I'm sure this album will too.
Continuing to pray.

Great News Steven, I'll be putting it down on the top of my birthday list! I'm looking forward to listening to these songs. The building looks wonderful too, what a great way to be a Christian testimony there.

I prayed that you'd find a grief outlet in your song writing. Praise Him for making that a reality. The music will bless all of us, the fans, but more importantly, it's part of your path to healing.
We love you and the family, my friend. Hope you still feel that in a palpable way.

SCC,
Thank you so much for your video blog! You & your family are one of the biggest encouragements in my life. I can't even begin to imagine the pain you have been through over the past 1 1/2 years, but it has made me realize just how faithful God is. And that everything does work together for those that love him! It has made me see how real He is. Only He could help you all grieve the loss of your precious little Maria, while allowing you to use your gift of music to share & minister to the world. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers and while you will never stop missing her, I pray that He gives you strength each day until you meet her again one day. I look forward to hearing your new music! Your past albums have helped me through some tough times and helped me look for God in a way I couldn't have otherwise.
God Bless!

Thank you so much for sharing your family's story. My husband and I have been married for 13 years (& been to a few of your concerts during that time) and always wanted to adopt. After having two boys of our own, and visiting your website often, reading Mary Beth's blogs, we have decided to begin the adoption process ourselves. Blessings to the children who enter Maria's Big House of Hope

Dear Chapman Family~
Many Blessings to you for all you are doing for China Orphans. Beauty will rise is such a great title for your new CD. It also represents the Beauty of MBHOH rising above the city that so desperately needs HOPE...

What an amazing time for you and your family! This is a wonderful step in the direction of healing. I praise God to see that you and your family are walking, moving and singing in that "grace" that Jesus commands us to walk in. His mercies are just as awesome. I am looking forward to hearing your new CD, as all your adoring fans are. I pray that health and healing continue to spring forth in you and your family. You have come a long way, Steven. Keep on walking that "faith" walk, brother.

I know I will be bawling the whole time I am listening to it especially on the Heaven Is The Face song as that is the way my husband feels about our little Heaven. She is a very special girl as well. Missed you @ the WOF in Seattle as I didnt have a babysitter that weekend. Hope to see you out in this area again soon though. Will be continuing to keep you in our prayers & in our hearts. I just saw you this past Saturday at Ocean Grove,NJ and was so blessed. Thank you for allowing God to continue to mold you. Prayers lift us up and our desire is that all that the Chapman family strives to do for the Kingdom will be blessed and protected at all times. Your new songs have left me very aware of my 4 miracles. We have 2 sets of twins, 5 yr olds girls and 2 yr old boy/girl. Many of your shared statements are everyday moments in our house. No doubt this new CD is going to touch and draw millions closer to God and their own families.

What an exciting event - the opening of Maria's Big House of Hope! What a tribute to your beautiful daughter, who may not be here in the flesh, but is definitely here in spirit! The strength that your family has to overcome such tragedy is really amazing and very inspirational. I am glad you decided to do the United Tour! My husband, two sons, and I saw you while in Sioux City. My children were thrilled to see you in concert and absolutely love your music! I was happy to see that your son was also on tour with you. What an experience for the two of you! I must say that because of your performance and your words on stage, we became sponsors for Show Hope! You truly are such an admirable person and touch so many lives!
