Change in Chico

Img_0420Here's a picture of Steven presenting this family with the money you raised, Chico!  Congratulations, together you raised over $4,200 and have made the difference in the life of a waiting child.

We had a great time hanging out with you in that golf-ball looking Epcot Center church, and we were blown away at your generosity and concern.  Check out these pictures of Chico showing hope:

Turning on the Lights in Roseville

Img_0345_2 Well, we had quite the night out in Roseville!  It was a beautiful day, shaping up to be an excellent concert, with folks lining up hours before the show to get a good seat. And then the rain and lightning struck, and the electricity started to flicker, and then it went off and on, off and on, then, finally, off completely. There we were, sitting with the backup lighting, waiting and wondering what would happen.

However, Roseville, you showed your stuff, and Bethany Dillon came out and led us all in worship.  It was really a special time, "once in a lifetime opportunity." The crew did an amazing job in the clutch, using the bus generators to power a mic and amp so eventually Bethany had some amplification.

Img_0354 Then Sanctus played an acoustic set, and Matt Hammet blew us all away on "The Face of Love", holding out the final note longer than any thought was possible.  The band was apparently slowing the song down, but Matt's voice held true and received a standing ovation.

So somebody had a friend who owned a generator store, and they were able to bring a down a generator and hook it up, so by the time Steven was on stage, we had enough power to run the whole show just like normal!

And in the midst of all the craziness, together you raised over $3,700!  Thank you for your generosity and your willingness to change the life of an orphan.  Here are some shots pre-show, while everyone was unaware of what was in store...

Yorba Linda Sets a New Record!

Img_0301Thanks to helped to make Yorba Linda such a special night.  Together you set a new record for this tour by raising over $9,600! You have helped to change the life of an orphan, and this family will be able to give them a loving home.  But not only that, you will enable us to help two more waiting children find a loving family.

We had a great night meeting up with old friends and making some new ones.  Here are some pictures from the night:

Joining Forces in Westlake Village

Img_0268Here is a picture of Steven Curtis Chapman and Shaohannah's Hope staff member and SCC Road Manager David Trask, praying with tonight's family after we awarded them a grant to help give an orphan a home and a family!

They were an awesome couple who simply came to the concert to serve, and they even made the crew cookies for the road.  Together you were able to bless them with a grant, by raising over $4,800.  Thanks to everyone who came out; your generosity was inspiring, and we hope you enjoyed your time at the show.

Raleigh Makes a Fair Showing for Orphans

Img_0119For a change of pace, the tour visited the North Carolina state fair in Raleigh, and let me tell you, NC does it up right at the fair.  You've got everything from fried oreos to elephant ears, and on top of that, a huge heart for orphans.

Without even an intermission, you North Carolinians opened your hearts (and your wallets) and together raised over $3,800!  Congratulations.  Spread the word, as we did not have time to let you know how well you did.

We did have time to snap a couple pics, however:

Thank you for your willingness to make a difference in a child's life, we trust that God will continue to bless you as you join Him in His Kingdom work.

Anderson, look at you!  You have raised over $3,400 to help change the life of an orphan.  Thank you so much for your generosity.  Don't forget, it doesn't end there, you can change your world for orphans.  And I'd have to say, if anyone is going to do it, Anderson is going to do it.

Thanks again!
