Ladies and Gentlemen...say hello to the VERY nice... Dave Trask
Here is a little gem of a video we captured on the final weekend of this last tour... featuring Steven' road manager..Dave Trask. Steven wants to let it be known that Dave is more good than grumpy.... usually. ;-)
LOLOLOLOLOL This is so funny and it's also a lot of fun to watch because the friendship chemistry between the two of you is so comfortable and genuine.
The Songtailor family hearts the Traskman!

I think that just about ANYONE could tell how close you guys are. I'm sure that you have a very special friendship together.
And by the way, I LOVED the way that you mocked Dave, Steven! (lol) Very funny!
Blessings from Canada,
Sarah

I can say from personal experience that Mr. Trask is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. I had the pleasure of meeting him while volunteering for the concert at our church. I must admit I was hesitant at first (because of the previous blogs about him), but he really is NICE... There's so much that goes into a concert that I never realized. I am grateful for Mr. Trask and for the other guys that get the job done out on the road. Thanks!!!

Having gotten "Trasked" at a meet and greet, I'm glad to see that there's more to Dave than the "Disgusted Dave" face you had up on here for so long! You two are so crazy...being on the road must be heaps of fun!

Hey Dave... Mind if I try and fix you up with someone??? I know someone who just lurves dimples!!
It's so sweet to see your relationship from more than just pictures!
Hoping you all had a nice relaxing time in FL... did ya'll leave us Yankees any sun? We're headed down in 2 weeks for OUR Spring Break...!!

David Trask ROCKS!! We met him at the World Arena in Colorado Springs last year and he has a HUGE HEART! We Heart Dave!

Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Hubby and I just watched this video and, while he generally doesn't stick around too long, he watched the entire thing and cracked up during most of it. The past few times we've been able to get meet and greets, you've been on the job, Mr. Trask and Dillon (my husband) doesn't think you're grumpy/disgusted at all. :-) Besides, you DO have a knack for fashionable footwear, right? Right??? How could one be disgruntled when he's got so much talent in that area? :-) (I miss the old board days!)
Thanks for taking time to sit down with your equally wacky (yet tenderhearted) friend and vlog for us.

Steven -- You gotta have Dave Trask start his own blog. I think it has the potential to become a national movement. The World of Steven Curtis Chapman through the eyes of Uncle Dave!!! (P.S. Saw the Live in the Moment tour in Anderson, IN and Brownsburg, IN -- everyone, including Dave, was incredible!)

HI- I am a new reader. I just want to say we (my husband and I) are starting the adoption journey and will be applying to Shaohannah's Hope. It's been a loooong process, since it's what I have wanted to do since I was a little girl! People say, "Well, what about having biological kids"? I don't even want biological children-- I just am so passionate about adopting. If the Lord blesses us with bio. kids, then great, but what I'm most passionate about and excited about is international adoption. I grew up in Thailand and on my school breaks volunteered at an orphanage for "outcasts"-- the adorable special needs children. This has forever impacted me. I am trying to start an orphan ministry in my church. In fact, I will see you on April 11th- in Naples! My husband and I hope to get to meet you! :) Maybe we can discuss adoption! I really hope we can meet you after or during the event. God Bless You!

thanks for the person behind the picture "interview". it appears that a concert tour is more like a crazy, semi-organized road trip. keep on doing whatever you do, cuz it sure seems to work. God bless you all for the rest of the tour and beyond.

We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Trask twice at the beginning of March! Our entire family volunteered in Brownsburg, and then the kids and I got front row seats in Wabash while Dad worked the booth again! You might remember our little Caroline...I think Mr. Trask called her a "little fireball"...and rightly so! She is the light of our lives! Thanks so much for the fun concert and the "meet and greet"! Thanks, most of all, for opening our hearts to the blessing of adoption. We were meant to be at that concert in Anderson, way back in October of 2002...God met us there and set us on the road to bringing Caroline home! And we're not stopping there. We're continuing down the road toward ministering to orphans...and, hopefully, we'll have the blessing of bringing another one home!
Thanks for the laughs! Love the video blog!

We love Dave!!!!! You put up with me and my spastic enthusiasm when you came to Kansas City, and it was a blast. Dave you are a very good man with a very good heart and it is always a pleasure to get to visit with you. Keep up the very good work.I can imagine the joy that you all receive when you get to me the beautiful children who have finally come home.
God bless you!

What a great blog! Dave seems like a very fun guy to work with. I bet there is never a dull moment around!
Holy cow!! I had no clue you had this website! I have been a fan since I was teenager. I saw you perform at Six Flags at Eureka with my youth group. I was an instant fan!!! Now I have even more of your CD's and my kids are fans too!! I am so glad you are still making music!!! Thank you! I listened to you on JoyFM and loved your family! God really shines through all you do!! Again thanks!

Steven; I do not know if you will have the time to read this but I want to let you know that you have blessed me tremendously through your new song Cinderella and your testimony afterwards on your web site.
I too have three beautiful cinderellas. My wife Grace and my two daughters Cara 12, and Hope 10 and yes, my son and Prince, Joseph who is 7. I am so blessed by God how he has given each andd every one them to me.
It is so awsome how you brought up the issue that so many of us as parents do not take time to appreciate those special moments when our children are reaching out to us if only for a minute or two and we as parents tend to rush them through this. Life is so short and your song convicted me of this too.
Praise the Lord for giving us the Holy Spirit to convict us!
So in closing, I thank you for your diligence following through with the blessing that God has placed on your life through music! May God continue to bless you and your family!
Your Brother in Christ,
Joseph Wright

We are interested in inviting Steven Curtis Chapman to speak/share about adoption at our church. What would be the right address to forward our request?

Good friends are hard to come by and are truly gifts from God. Totally off subject, I have an idea for your website. You need to put up a guitar/equipment/settings section on your website. I was at the Chattanooga, TN concert and I was impressed with the acoustic sound when you sang "Be Still and Know". How do you get that sound? Is it plugged straight thru w/no effects, some effects, etc? See, a page dedicated to all things SCC guitar related would be awesome. Anywho, thanks for a great show, and God bless.

Steven, When you were at the station in St. Louis with Sandy it was mentioned for me to leave a cd of a song I did with the sales table in an envelope with your name on it. You mentioned you wanted to listen to it. Have you or had a chance to listen to it, or did it make it to you?

Mr.Dave T., I believed for you to be a person other than just grumpy the first time I heard of you. Anytime I see someone that has a big job I say that I woudn't want to have to do it. The hardest part, I believe, is the wonder of how a job is shaping us as we go on thru it. We have to do the job and make sure we don't lose ourselves, or our personalities completely. Maybe I'm wrong, but this may make us all seem grumpy as we do the hussle and bussle. I thank you just as much as Steve C for you efforts. It takes a team effort to do much good, so force a smile like me when you don't feel like smiling.

David arranged for my son (who had a bone marrow transplant) to come see Steven warm up in Estes Park. He was the nicest man. My son was shy about having a very bald head and David even offered him his hat :-) He helped to create a memory for us that is unmatched in a time that was extremely difficult. God Bless you David!!! You have a heart of gold!!!

Hi Steven.
I wanted to say that you are very great. Amazing! Other words I can't find because my English words are limited ( I come from Germany!) I am so sad that I could never see you live but I have the most of your CDs and make you popular here in my city (near Cologne). My sister and me, we have one goal in our life: coming into the USA and being on one concert of you!
God bless you!
Yours Johnny

Now that should be called the "goofy Dave Trask!" That was great. The night I was lucky enough to meet both of you guys in Pittsburgh, Dave wasn't grumpy at all... in fact, he stood and talked to me for a bit before SCC made it down the line to meet me... I thought he was a great guy... I didn't see any grumpy Dave that night! :-)
