Dale,
Don't get your hopes up.
Requests come in all the time and I've never heard of one being honored. I think this site is solely for creeping (as the young crowd refers to) on the Chapmans and not for asking of anything.

MaryBeth, I have to just tell you, your Will Franklin just stole my heart the two times I spoke with him here in Tulsa. As a mother I know how proud you must be of him. The last time he was here I shared my photo necklace of my Sweet Samuel (who is safe with Jesus) when I saw his sweet photo necklace of Maria.
Just want you to know that I will be praying for the Lord's healing touch on his body with this sickness. I am praying for you all too... I can't tell you how often the Lord brings your family to mind... I love it, it always reminds me to lift you all up in prayer to HIM. What a journey this grief is...
Longing for the day when all things will be made new and we will be with HIM and them for eternity.

I know this is a long shot, but I can't think of anything else to try. My hope is that someone close to Steven will see this and have sympathy for a guy who is just trying to do something special for his wife.
My wife, Michelle, and I will be attending Steven's concert in the Kansas City area on April 23rd. That day will be our 16th anniversary.
Steven's song, "I Will Be Here" is very special to us. Seventeen years ago, also on April 23rd, it was playing while I proposed. Sixteen years ago, it was our first dance at our wedding reception. Now, on our anniversary, nothing would be more memorable than to hear it performed live.
I know that "I Will Be Here" may not fit artistically with the other songs in the concert line-up. But, if I don't ask, I will always wonder what might have been.
Michelle means the world to me and I would do anything to make that night memorable for her.
Blessings,
Dale

Maybe MB can help cut thru this "red tape" for you?

Carrie,
That's disappointing to hear that Show Hope won't be helping you financially.
I wish there wasn't so much "red tape" to cut thru for this process.

Prayers for you, Will. I know how miserable you feel, and pray that God alleviates your pain soon.
Blessings,
Michele

We were blessed to be able to attend Hope in the Dark. My husband is a pastor in Knoxville and our local Chickfila had a table to fill so we were invited! What a blessing. We are in process of adopting from Congo. As so many, our biggest obstacle is the cost. We were disappointed to hear thatt we do not qualify for a Show Hope grant b/c the agency we are using while Hague approved, is not 501c3. The lady at the table was so helpful though and reminded me the lesson I am continuing to learn on this journey- God will provide!
We would appreciate you praying for us on our journey- you can follow our blog- www.thegrowingthomascrew.blogspot.com

We will be praying..... Also we wanted to somehow thank you all for the work you are doing in Luoyang. We recently arrived home with a brand new eleven year old son from the Luoyang SWI. The day before we picked him up we were honored to visit Maria's big house. What a great time we had. Mariah was so accomodating and spent so much time with us taking us from floor to floor. What a loving, bright place!!! Thank you again. We hope to be able to go back in the future. God has certainly placed China on our hearts. Blessings to you all.....
