Steven and I head out in a bit to go to the Orphan Summit in Minneapolis to take part in an amazing event. Pray for us as I share and as Steven sings. Trust me, you wouldn't want that the other way around. Steven speaking would go long.....Just kidding....but some truth...but more importantly....Mary Beth Singing would clear the room...quickly! So, I pray we will be a great team as we allow God to pour through the broken places of our lives and let people SEE where He has been working in us. I'm very nervous as I am the Newbie this weekend at WOF in Columbus, Ohio. If you are coming to that event, go easy on me!!! LOL.. Seriously, I am humbled and honored to be a part of this wonderful gathering, but...I'm really operating out of my weakness. I feel that God has this season for me, but I never would have imagined it! Please, pray for me as I have a short amount of time and I long for Jesus to be seen and heard as I share from broken, dark places of my life. I will try and keep you posted, as long as I don't throw up, pass out, or die of heart failure....I could try running away, but Steven would just find me. He IS my biggest cheerleader......did I say YIKES!!!!!

Thank you for sharing. Very happy to see your article, I very much to like and agree with your point of view. Have a good time.

But i wonder--simply because i wasn't around for her life and have never studied her impact on american culture in a larger sense--if this is how marilyn herself was viewed by her peers back in the day... and if it was only the surgical hand of dr. time, m.d., that glossed over her life and put her in the context we find her in today.

Mary Beth,
You were wonderful when you spoke at Summit VI. I was moved to laugh and to cry as you shared your heart with us, the joy and the sorrow. You did awswome and I know that if you continue to speak publicly you will be a blessing to many, many people. Thanks for being you and for sharing your life with us!

I was right there on the floor as you spoke from your heart Saturday at WOF. I think you did a super job and you will be a great addition to the group. As the mother of a Chinese daughter my heart and prayers have been with you and your family for the past two years. I wanted to stop you both in the isle and give you hugs. Instead, I'll send you cyber ones (((hugs)))! Praise God for you!

Mary Beth,
Thank you so very much for being so open and real! I related to you on so many levels. Wish I could have sat and chatted with you. Mary Beth,
What a blessing the two of you were to us yesterday at WOF. You were so personable that I felt I was on the front porch, just listening to a good friend share her heart. I personally know a few folks who have lost adult children who were there, so I pray that God will use your testimony as a healing balm to their hearts as well. God has a wonderful work in store for you.

I hope you continue your testimony and to see you again next year. Thank you, Mary Beth, for being brave and listening to God. You put your fears aside and emotions on the line and trusted God. Well done good and faithful servant!
Blessings!

Thank you so much for sharing your story. It is one thing to go to wof and listen to those polished speakers but quite another experience to listen to someone speaking from their heart. You and your bravery and your faith will always be in my heart.

Mary Beth, I was at WOF. You spoke your heart and were amazing. You and your family remain in my prayers as you continue on this journey.
P.S. Maybe if Steven was taught the art that is involved when TPing a house/trees etc he would change his mind? :)
Hope to see you at next year's WOF. You talking and Steven singing are definitely a great part of the WOF weekend.
Love and Blessings

Mary Beth - I was blessed to hear you speak tonight at Summit VI. After following your story from a distance, it was a joy to see and hear you in person. You're a gifted speaker in my book and I thank you for being willing to share your heart with all of us here. I'm a new mom and I realized as you spoke tonight that you are one of the women I am blessed to look to for inspiration as a parent, thanks to your transparency on this blog. May God continue to bless and redeem you.

I will be at Women of Faith in Columbus tomorrow, and I for one am THRILLED that you are speaking. I hope you speak on Sat. as I can't come until Friday night. Yours and Stevens' story have inspired us to adopt a wonderful little boy, and althought there have been some HUGE bumps in the road, we hope that we are on the way to another. Your stories and Steven's music have helped us on our journey more than you will ever know.

You were fantastic! My girlfriend and I just kept saying, can we get her to go to Starbucks with us afterwards, she is fun and would fit right in. But more importantly, you touched us with your story. Well done oh faithful one! Thanks for the blessing.

Mary Beth...Thanks for being so open. I know God will be with you and you will be able to share in an amazing way! BTW, thanks also for sharing your "stuff". Thanks to Grace who accepted my offer. I'm now a proud owner of a very cute purse. Guess that's as close as I'll ever get to meeting you! Although I did meet your head cheerleader once...Blessings to you!
