A long time ago I believed that God had a book in your future. I know this has been a bit different as you have poured out your heart a few drops or drizzles at a time as you felt led or needed the release, and yet a book was having to put it all together and all out there at once. Thank you for being brave enough and open enough to help others by sharing your painful journey. I have rejoiced and aches for your family these last two years and your lives have had a significant impact on mine. I encourage you to look up Tami and Kermit Alexanders story. They visited our church this Sunday and shared their story of adopting 5 Haitian children--the story goes much deeper & is too long to share here (he was a probowl NFL player) but I did share with them about SHOW Hope in case God puts in on others' hearts for international adoption after hearing their story and those individuals can't affort 21 international visits in 4 years like the Alexanders were able to do. We'll see how God weaves the stories of your lives and their together for His Glory. Love you and sorry I haven't responded here in quite a while although I pray for all of you frequently.
Your sister in Christ,
Nancy (thankfulndw)

I look forward to reading your book. Your life has been a testimony of faith in the midst of tragedy and pain. I have read bits and peaces of your blog, (rarely with a dry eye.) God is using you and your family for His glory. You are a blessing to so many. May God bless you as you continue to seek His face.

YAY! Way to go Mary Beth, that is just a HUGE accomplishment. I have always been so touched by your frank honesty through your walk of losing Maria. It has greatly encouraged me through the journey of losing our Samuel... I am really looking forward to reading your book. I KNOW that it will be a tremendous blessing to so so many who will suffer loss in the future or who have in the past.
Be encouraged that God is using you, still using Maria, and using your whole special famiy through this all. I will continue to pray for you all!
Much love in our Risen Savior:)

Mary Beth,
Since becoming an advocate for the children of China, I have been following your sites and enjoy reading everything you write. I look forward to buying your book and I hope God blesses it as much as He has mine, and uses it to raise awareness.

Hi Mrs.Mary Beth,
I just discovered your blog and went back through your archives to read ALL of your blogs since July 2009. You are sooo sweet and I loved finding things out about your family I had never known before. I am definately a HUGE fan of Steven Curtis Chapman's music,AKA(your husband),as well as the band Caleb. I had the honor of meeting them when they came to Pensacola on tour with Casting Crowns. You definately have the right to brag on those two. I have looked at ALL of your pics and you have a BEAUTIFUL family. I also went back through the archives of your husband's vidio blog and I was on the floor laughing. Please tell him to post some more videos. They are hilarious. Shoaey,Stevey Joy and I will have to get together to play dress up sometime. I have totes of dress-up clothes but I'm 16,so I don't get to use them very much but when I was their age it was my favorate thing to do. I also used to take gymnastics and ballet but my sister is the one who's really into basketball. I can't wait to meet Maria Sue. After watching videos of her on youtube washing dishes, pretenting to be Hannah Montana, playing Simon Says, and pretending to be a famous artist it feels like I've known her a long time. She is the cutest, sweetest, and funniest little girl I have ever seen. I can tell from the smile on her face just how much she loves her family. I listen to your husband's music on my ipod and my cd's of your son's music every night when I go to sleep. I pray for you every night,as well. Blessings!

Congratulations! God has been so good, again! I cannot wait to read it, because beyond the Bible, the only other books I read are of children's literature.

Wow! I can't wait to read your book! I'm so amazed at your transperency and openness. May God continue to bless you as you be a voice for those who have endured a loss. You has given hope to many...and God has been given the glory through it.
I am so looking forward to hearing you both next week at the Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit in Minneapolis...I haven't heart your husband live since he was a young blond boy doing a concert in Saskatchewan, Canada many years ago....I never thought I'd get to hear him years later..just before we head to Russia to meet our little girl (hopefully by the end of June!)!!! Hopefully we'll get to meet you guys!

Mary Beth,
I've been reading your blog since before Maria went to be with Our Father, but having just suddenly lost my mom to complications from pneumonia, I am more compelled to respond because now I really understand the level of grief and absence that comes when a beloved family member dies. I look forward to your book and still pray every day for you and all others in your situation. God bless you!

Way to go! Even though I've never met you, I'm so proud of you. Is that strange?? ;-) At any rate, I can not wait to read your book. I thank you so much for being so transparent about your painful walk and allowing God to speak through you. You truly are one of my heros.

Does Jim still work for you?
He's taking a beating on his blog for being unresponsive so I was just wondering.
