Thank you for letting us "SEE" that our daugther is ok.
We lost her 5,5 months ago and on her card was a 6 petal flower. It's our symbol for her.
It brought tears to my eyes (which is easy these days :))to see a 6 petal flower on Stevens cd.
It took me an evening crying over the songtekst already and 2 days to enter the pain in the songs on the cd.
But: Thank you! For sharing, for putting yours and my feelings into words.
It will bring healing in the pain.
'Cause even if we don't understand; He's faithfull!
With love,
Annemieke

I purchased Beauty Will Rise and just finished listening for the first time. I just wanted to thank you and your husband for giving me this glimpse into your souls through the music. It sounds weird, but at times I felt like the music was so personal that I was intruding on something very private.... yet, I am very grateful and blessed to be invited in to your hearts by these songs.
I've followed your blogs and any other articles I found about your family since Maria went to heaven, and I've heard you all proclaim your faith in God throughout this tragedy. However, I think the best part of this CD was actually hearing from Steven that you guys are truly OK.
I love you and pray for you often.

Hi
I've been a fan of Steven's music for MANY years ..and am looking forward to hearing "Beauty Will Rise" soon and sharing it with others.
I know this is a long shot ... but can I ask you and Steven to pray for friends of ours today? Our bestfriends, Jerome and Andria (in South Africa) are dealing with the sudden and tragic loss of their 2 year old son Craig. He died this morning (Nov 14) by drowning in their swimming pool. He is their baby, and he has 4 older sisters. They are heartbroken ...and you know their pain. Please pray for them.
Thank you for your ministry through the tragic loss of your Maria. God is merciful and great. "The Lord gives, and the Lord takes, blessed be the Name of the Lord."
Thank you...sincerely,
Nicole

Hi MaryBeth,
I just found your blog tonight, and so look forward to reading more.
I've been a bloggy friend of Gwen Oatsvall for over a year, so it's been fun to "know someone that knows you".
My heart broke for your family last year, and I spent much time in prayer for all of you.
I have loved your husband's music for many years, and have so appreciated your family's shining light for the Lord. This summer, though was the first time I saw your husband (and sons) in concert ... with Michael W. Smith in Abbostsford, BC. That is where he sang, publicly for the first time, Beauty will Rise.
It truly touched my heart, as we were just 6 weeks into a very serious family crisis. Our crisis has turned into an adoption disruption for one of 3 siblings we brought home from Ghana 18 months ago. Today ... I bought the CD. Tonight ... I found your blog. No accident.
Thank you for your ministry. Please pray for us, that we may see beauty arise from the ashes of our crisis.
Blessings,
Laurel

Thank you so much. My copy of Beauty Will Rise was in my mailbox on Friday. I have listened to it no less than 2 dozen times. I have read the incert from beginning to end. I have cried, I have prayed, I have been encouraged. As we planted the living memorial on Saturday for my nephews, we listened to SCC words and they offered hope. Beauty from Ashes I think, for the time being, is my favorite. Oh Lord, bring beauty from these ashes. Thank you for your honesty. We love and pray for each of you. In God's Love, sheila

Finally got my hands on the official copy. Had ordered through the website but I"m impatient and the local Christian book store had Beauty Will Rise on sale so I decided two copies would be perfect - one for home and one for the car.
Just reading the lyrics, and Steven's comments, brought the tears to my eyes. Listening to each song brought even more tears.
This album is already my favourite - one I know I will treasure for years to come. I don't think there are words to describe the beauty of this album, the beauty rising form the ashes of the grief of your family. Your family has brought hope to so many people and helped us to SEE a glimpse of heaven.
Thank you for sharing this with us, for allowing us to be a small part of this.

Bought the CD at Women Of Faith OKC. Such a blessing! Thanks so much for sharing the intimate details of healing your family is going through, it helps so many others to grieve with Grace. I have cried everytime I listen to the CD. I have held my children a lil' longer and tighter each day. I have thanked God for allowing me to be in OKC when SCC was there to share and minister to us. Many feel the pain of losses in our lives, but few know how to express that pain and trust God in the pain. Thank you for showing and reminding us to turn to God for the healing. You and your family will remain in our prayers!

I think it's no accident that BWR came out just in time to bring potential comfort to folks in Fort Hood, TX who've lost loved ones, senselessly, this week. Thank you for letting the reality of your family's struggle be revealed to offer a hopeful path to others!!

(((MaryBeth)))
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Was supposed to be there again this weekend, but, as the Lord would have it, I've been sick all weekend, so...I'm so disappointed, but trying to learn to trust the disappointments are really HISappointments.
Have a very blessed, wonderful weekend!
Praying for the entire team and event...and all in attendance. I KNOW they'll be blessed, changed, and motivated to turn this world upside down FOR JESUS' FAME!!!
With love,
Claudine T and family

Hi MB,
Thank YOU for giving Steven the journal(and "permission") that allowed him to freely express his innermost thoughts. We, the public, are grateful and humbled. Can't wait to see SCC (and Trask) this weekend at WOF in NC.
