Here they are. The beautiful recital girls. Stevey Joy tap danced to "ain't nobody hear but us chickens", and did ballet to "catch a falling star and put it in your pocket"...while Shaoey ballet danced to "shadowfeet". It was a beautiful night. Stevey Joy earned her 3 year trophy! We had a wonderful night, while still....missing our heavenly ballet dancer...Maria

How sweet =)
I wanted to share with you, Mary Beth, yesterday I took one of my classes on a field trip to the zoo. At one point, we were looking at the elephants. After taking a picture of them, I looked down and saw a litte ladybug sitting on the post right in front of me. I immediately thought of your Maria. When I went to get my camera ready to take a snapshot of the ladybug to send to you, it spread its wings and flew away. Did she like the elephants at the zoo? Praying for you as you daily walk through this trial.
Love in Jesus,
Kim

The girls look so adorable! I just want you to know that I pray my kids turn out like yours. You have absolutely beautiful children, inside and out... I'm praying for your family every day I hear a S.C.C. song, which is everyday.

I love the pictures and love hearing how the Lord continues to sustain you all in your sorrow as well as in your trusting hearts. I weep for you all everytime I visit as well and wish I could wrap my arms around you all every time I come to your website to see how you all are holding up. I can't hear Cinderella without crying, and my husband can't endure it at all. You will never know on this side of eternity the ways you have impacted my heart....from the adoption of our daughter from Kazakhstan to learning to rest in His love more. Thank you for your transparency. May the Lord continue to strengthen you daily, sister.

Hi Mary Beth,
I have started to leave you a comment so many times but have never really known what to say. You and your family have been in my prayers so many times over the last year. You don't know me, and we'll probably never meet (here, anyway!) but your family has had a profound impact on my life. Steven's music has been a part of my life for many years, helping me to fix my eyes on the Lord in difficult times. My husband and I are currently in the process of adopting from Korea, and it was through hearing interviews with you and Steven and reading things you had written about your journey to adoption that the Lord helped us to overcome our fears and questions and to actually start the process. We are now getting closer to having our little one in our arms, and I am so thankful that He has brought us here! Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that even though you don't know me, you have touched my life, and I will continue to pray for you and your family.
Blessings,
Rachel

Mary Beth,
We are so happy to see beautiful smiles in these recital pictures of Shaoey and Stevey Joy.
Our Lord Jesus will one day have a Grand Reunion Banquest for your family with little Maria. The most awaited day which definitely worth the wait!
Fervently praying for you all....God SEEs and Hears all our cries.
Love and Prayers.

how wonderful, and thank you for sharing! I started dancing when I was 3 and loved it, except for getting stage fright at recitals! The girls look like natural performers. must've inherited something... ;-)
so picture perfect, yet noticably incomplete. continuing on in prayer for your dear family.
rest in Him who redeems and transforms, renews and restores!

Beautiful girls and beautiful pictures! Congrats to Shaoey on 3 years. :) I was a Ukrainian dancer for 12 years and taught the pre-school class for another three - LOVED the final performances. There was always something magical about the house lights dimming and the music beginning, as you stood on stage, waiting.

They look beautiful!
My granddaughter will be having her recital on the 13th and we are looking forward to it. She will do her ballet to "Stupid Cupid" and tap to "Rockin Robin". Her dance teacher always does a daddy/daughter dance at the end. They look so sweet when they dance.

Such beautiful photos of your family!! I love the dress up feel of recitals! We sing All Things New every single night to our adopted daughter because it is a promise we cling to as we comfort her hurting heart.

While I never like how much make-up they put on little girls during recitals, your girls are such cute kids! :) I know that when you're sick, it just makes everything seem crummier, so I just pray for your physical healing and continued strength for all of you until you see Maria again.
