I am so tired that I can hardly keep my eyes open so sorry for the brevity of this post.....but I wanted to tell you all that we had a great first but hard jet lag day at the Great Wall! As you can tell, the attitudes where great, but near the end of the day, the grumpies started to set in! Sorry that I couldn't bring you all with me. You literally rode a ski lift up, and an alpine slide down. How fun is that? Most of my favorite people in the world all together on the Great Wall! Whoo Hoo. Pray for us as we now head toward Maria's Big House of Hope Dedication Service. Much is going on here that I can't speak of, but there are some needs of prayer here that I can't go into. Nothing too major, but when you deal with China, you deal with plan changes. So, in order for all to go smoothly, which it seems it will, I would appreciate some prayers. None of this has to do with MBHOH, but..... the powers that be here in this country are watching our temperatures, etc. as it pertains to the Swine flu scare. We are not sure where all this will lead with this trip and future trips, but so far all is well. A day at a time is good, I guess that is why God commands us to not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself! I love you all and We most certainly love being here in what Shaoey loudly proclaimed when we landed........"I am here! I am in my Homeland!" She is to funny!

We will be arriving into Beijing on the 29th. Spending a couple days there before heading down to Luoyang to work/be at Maria's Big House for the Grand Opening! We will be there several days and then head down to Chengdu where we will have an awesome opportunity to drive into the earthquake zone, near the epicenter and minister to many many Chinese who are still suffering great devastation and loss. We will do some teaching and singing and just hanging out with this hurting people!
We covet your prayers and I will do my best to post pictures as we go along!
There is another SHOW HOPE group coming to China on July 15th. This includes a lot of people I know including my big brother Jim Chapman and Megan Thompson (Maria's Pre-school teacher) among a lot of others...Emily, Shaoey, and I will join up with them and stay at Maria's Big House to work on Landscaping and painting some additions to the outside of the building as well as the foyer! My brother is an artist and plans on painting Maria's memories in many places! Pray for him as I believe scaffolding is involved! YIKES!!!!!
OK...that may give you all a clearer picture as to who, what, where, why and when....
All I can say is that I'm humbled and emotional as I had to China for the first time without my precious Maria in the physical sense. No doubt she will be with us every step of the way in spirit! I tell my girls that if Jesus lives in our hearts, and Maria is with Jesus....then Maria is with us in our hearts as well!
Much love to all of you, and I thank you in advance for your prayers as we set out on this.... GREAT ADVENTURE...(sorry, I just had to!)
Check out this awesome story released about Maria's Big House of Hope! We are so humbled and blessed to have so many people on board with us to help us spread the word about Show Hope and our efforts to help Orphans around the world!
