Mary Beth, I have been praying for your family.
I just had some dear friends that lost a son to a very tragic accident. The father and son were out hunting and he accidently shot and killed his son. This family knows the Lord but are going through a very difficult time. I was wondering if you or Steve could call them? I know that this is a long shot but just thought I had to try.

Mary Beth,
Will you pray for me and my family today?
We are pursuing a possible adoption that just "popped up" on our radar. Pray for God's provision and direction. Especially for the precious child involved.
In our Lord Jesus,
Lori

Mary Beth,
I do not know if this will actually be read by you - I know how busy you are. But with tears in my eyes I want to share how Steven's faithfulness and confidence in Christ during such times of sorrow encouraged me this weekend. I will try to make this short...
I attended the Women of Faith Conference in Spokane, WA. There are so many ways that Steven and your family's story touched me this weekend - but there is only one small piece that I will focus on.
From my earliest memories I have always felt the burden for orphans - God's call for us to take care of and love them has ALWAYS been so heavy on my heart. My husband of 11 years, Jason, and I have 2 beautiful children, yet I still feel that someone is missing. My husband has not had this same burden as me and I have always just let it slide, knowing that he, as the head of our household, needed to lead this decision. Well, after hearing your story, and going to Steven's website, I prayed today for God's spirit to prepare and excite my husband for adoption if it is something God desires. Your love of orphans helped prompt me to take action and say something to my husband. Well... I asked Jason to read your story and the "Miracle" stories of adoption on 'Shaohanna's Hope' website, and tell me what he thought. Afterwards, he said "Well, it was just as I expected. God wants us to adopt. And I believe He wants us to adopt 2 children." He further explained that lately he has been feeling God speaking to him about this, and that now he is ready to completely surrender to His will. What is funny, is that I felt God was calling us to adopt 2 children too - oh how the spirit works!
So now we begin this new journey. Trusting God completely. I am already starting to feel overwhelmed by the process, and like many Americans, our financial resources... are more limited than ever, yet I know that when the obstacles are great is when God is most glorified, and I can't wait to see Him move.
So I just want you to know that because of your story/journey, your baby girl's passing to Heaven, and your burden for orphans, 2 more children may be living in a safe, Christ loving/honoring family.
Thank you.
Your Sister in Christ,
kameron shadrick

I am late with this, but had to tell you about my daughter's experience with her golden retriever chewing up the back seat of her minivan......for a mouse no less. She didn't get the mouse, but the back seat was a mess.....foam everywhere. We were in a Bible Study when she did it. Last time she got to go to Bible Study. :)
The girls are gorgeous.
Praying for you and your faimly Mary Beth. Thank you for including us in your life!!!
Blessings,

Okay, I just have to comment on the last twitter and say I feel your dog pain! As I read this the first thought that came to my mind was Shaohannah trying to drive the mule with a pillow under her.
If you can surive just a bit longer with you chewer you will probably have a great dog.
At this point you may ask yourself "who wanted this dog" - find them and tell them to clean up the foam and leather (and any other chewing expedition clean ups in teh future).

So beautiful! I've never seen SJ in this color -- looks so great on her -- VERY cheery! Nice to see her really smile! SH's smile is coming. She is beautiful. Praying for every heart in your family to be healed, and for the joy of the Lord to return & be your strength. "He binds up the brokenhearted." Hallelujah...

Mary Beth, I have enjoyed following your blog and we have mourned with you for the last year over sweet Maria. We have adopted 4 times... 3 of those times from China. Our hearts ache for you. We are now in the process of adopting again. I believe you know our daughter. We are adopting Holly from Philip Hayden Foundation. She has a large birthmark on her face and she currently lives in House of Peace. I have heard that you all have touched so many hearts at PHF. Please know that we pray for you often.
In Him,
-Nicole Baker

My niece was involved in DWT last year. I went to the recital, and it is a very beautiful night! The hard work the girls put it will surely show this evening! Are they still doing the four ticket maximum rule?

The girls are beautiful ballerinas! Our Ahnalin has her ballet and tap recital in 4 weeks and has already been practicing in her tutu. I just love seeing little ones dance, especially since that is not a gift I have.

They're so beautiful and looking SO grown up! Two little princesses. Only did two years of ballet as a kid but what I lived for was Ukrainian dancing. Loved our final year end concerts - the music, the costumes, the lights and getting to wear make-up, as a kid, and later, the senior dancers costumes with the velvet vests and red boots.
Hope you all had a wonderful evening! Did the girls get roses? I still remember my Mom presenting me with roses at the end of a performance and how special it made me feel.

Mary Beth,
Haven't had the internet the past few days and just caught up on your blog. First of all, thanks once again for allowing us a glimpse into your lives and for sharing your faith and hope this past year. I can't imagine how hard the 21st was…I thought of your family and prayed for you all throughout the day. My heart breaks for you…I don’t understand why God has you down this road, but I do believe that He is faithful and will continue to bless and strengthen you as you walk it. I hope that you continue to find those breadcrumbs from little Maria and that God would show you His presence in a BIG way. I pray that His peace, comfort, and strength would be so tangible in your lives. I pray that He would reveal more of the picture that He is painting with Maria and all of your lives as you continue to hang on. Maria seemed like such a precious and joyful little girl…sitting with you in your grief today and praying for all of you so diligently. Know that A LOT of people, many who like me did not know her, have been touched by her life and will carry on her memory with you. She will not be forgotten!
Sending you all hugs and lots of love! Praying especially for Will Franklin…I know that God will continue to heal and strengthen him as he takes this particular journey. We love you Will!!! God is not done with him or any of you yet…you are all such inspiring and amazing people! I do believe that He will continue to do amazing things with you.
Can’t tell you how weak my faith has been in recent times and how much coming to your blog has encouraged me. Thanks for allowing God to work in and through you Mary Beth. Much love and prayers today and always! God’s blessings upon your family :) And thanks so much for sharing Will’s graduation (we are so proud of him!!!) and the pics of the girls with us. They are so precious :)

Mary Beth,
Thanks for sharing these bits and pieces of your life! I count it as a blessing to see within the life of a Christian family who is glued together by Christ.
The girls are so photogenic! I cannot wait for my boys to become that way in more pictures. To get them to smile and look at the camera at the same time is a rarity. We are so glad to have a worn-out digital camera to delete the back-of-the-head views and keep the others.
Blessings to You and Yours!

TOO cute! My daughter's recital weekend is in two weeks. It is always such a joy to be at a dance recital; the costumes, the talent, the fun! Looking forward to the pictures to come.
