Will you be in Paducah tomorrow night? I'm going to the concert with my sister who lives there. The concert last night was beautiful, and I know that tomorrow's will be beautiful too!

MB, I just watched Jim's video of the acceptance speech from Steven. Wow, I"m so excited that he won. you looked beautiful up there and what he said was so moving. I truly can't think of a person I would rather see win that award. So happy for you. Just wanted to get that in. I know it's not related to this blog. :) Much Love, your sista in Christ, Laurie

Just so you know, you are being covered in prayer right now. I pray that the Lord would hold you close, speak to the depths of your soul and be your peace! U are loved and prayed for sooooo much! I agree w/ all the other posters, thanks for sharing your life and heart with us... It's through it - though broken at this time - we're able to see God show up and the work that He is doing (and you're allowing Him to do) that gives us a greater understanding of what a faithful God we serve. Thank you!
Sleep well!

Oh how that photo brought back memories!
I visited the west coast for a full week a few years ago and basically lived off In N Out! Loved it!

Will be there tonight and Thursday! (sister lives near Paducah, and I couldn't resist seeing SCC's homecoming there! :) So yes, that's two concerts in three days. ;)
Looking forward to hearing God's Word just ring out of the Ryman tonight! It will be interesting to see if MWS and SCC act differently knowing they have nearly ever family member and friend in attendance tonight! :)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! We had In N Out burgers at least once a week when we lived in SoCal. My hubby and i were so excited to get to move back closer to family in Texas, but we SOOOO miss the fabulous burgers!!

I love the irony of the "Wrong Way" & "Do Not Enter" signs! I've never had a pleasure of eating at In-N-Out, but I've been told I'm missing out!!

I saw your link on another blog page. I just had to check out post only because...I LOVE In and Out Burger!
I live on the East coast. Nine years ago my husband took me to California to visit my sister. I was a vegetarian at the time and NEVER ate fast food.
Well, hubby and sis took me to an In and Out...I've never been the same since. We ate there three times in the two weeks I was in San Diego. On my last day, Di asked what I wanted to do. She about fainted when I insisted on one more order of Burger, fries and a chocolate shake from In and Out.
We've since had four more children and three of them are little boys who love McDonalds. Everytime I have to eat one of those lousy happy meals, my husband and I longingly say, "We need an In and Out Burger."
Thanks for the memories!

Went to see SCC in Lexington last night. Tears poured down my face as I watched this man stand on stage and PROCLAIM that he is STANDING on the PROMISES of God. Praying for you guys!!!

I have to say I had it last week and almost went into a instant depression when my last bite was over! Hope you enjoyed it...

Just the thought of Steven pulling Mr. Mom duties today made me smile. I know that when I've been gone in the past, my husband always seems to find the most stained clothes to put our kids in while deciding to take them to Dairy Queen for dinner and ice cream. Ah, that's a man for you, I guess! ;D I hope you had a fun time in L.A.! It's good to get away from the everyday, even if it's only for just an overnight stay!

omg I so miss that place. Moved to Wa from So Cal in 2001. Sigh. Whenever I go back south to visit my sister our first stop is In-N-Out. Love their strawberry milkshake. Did you know they have a secret burger ? It's called a 4x4. It's not listed on the menu but real in n out lovers know about it lol. Dont forget the "animal style". Hubby loves that. Have a great day !!!

Best of travels! I just realized that you might be coming home on the same flight as my husband! :D (home around 8:00 tonight on SWA). Ah, the joy of airport food courts! :)

I want a burger! I am always humbled by the blessings God bestows on your family. I read about Joseph yesterday and the hardships he went thru yet God's hand was always there and made what was meant for bad become good! I SEE it in my own life daily, when i actually look. On a seriouser note( you can tell i'm home with preschoolers by the way i spell) your story saved my 4 year old's life the other day. I had put her in her carseat, went in to get something(took the keys with me)Because of your story, i'm so much more aware and i looked back to see if she was in it and she WAS NOT. I had the car in reverse(suv) and put it in park, got out and called her name/ She was sitting on the back bumper of the car. We all know what would have happened if i had assumed she was in the car with me when i put it in reverse. Thank you for saving her life! and ours! Maria is still doing miracles on earth as she is in heaven! God is good. I do pray for the pain of this life to get less and less and the stories of Marias miracles become more evodent. they happen happen everyday! Love you and pray for you always!

We have one right by our house--- we try very hard not to go very often but when I do it's a "protein style with cheese" and hubby likes the "double double".
I noticed Jim's post and hope the speech went well--- we live about 5 minutes away from the library. I hope you enjoyed the venue as well, such a pretty place!

Mary Beth & Man-ager...
for us in California... In-n-Out is more of a temptation than anything else. We have to control ourselves not to eat there too often.
but the kids were begging for it yesterday.... so I complied. How do you order yours? i love mine double meat no cheese.... grilled onions... protein style (between two pieces of lettuce instead of the bun). hey... gotta keep it healthy! HA! and if you like spicy... they have little hot peppers that you can ask for.... my mouth is watering. darn!
Posted by: elaine | April 27, 2009 at 08:39 AM
Yummy!!!, we were just there yesterday! Nice to know its one of those meals that the kids don't turn their noses up at!
Aside from those of us that live here in so cal, or Nevada or Ariz, that also have In N Out, Do you ever read the bottom of the cups?? John 3:16, and also Proverbs 3:5. Guess we eat out at that place too much to know that!!
Congratulations on the Doves and your other Award! Praying for you.
Lisa:)
