A Special Award from the President

MWS was the presenter of this beautiful Pin and Certificate along with a letter from President Bush.  It is a Call to Service Award given to SCC for outstanding volunteer and civic service with his work through SHOWHOPE and Orphan advocacy.  Trying not to BRAG, but hey, a letter from the former President and a pretty pin....In the words of EYEORE  "thanks for noticing me" (said in a gloomy sort of way!)  This all happened in the historic Ryman Auditorium for the Nashville "United" show!  Apparently, Smitty has had the award for a few weeks now, looking for a good opportunity to present it.  Nothing nicer than a hometown crowd to share it with.  Thanks MWS.... and to my cute little volunteer.....I think you do awesome things...but we all know where it comes from.  Through our broken vases we can be poured out to be a living fragrance to all those in need.  Thanks again for all your love my dear blog friends.  Good Night!  And if you want to check out the work,  SHOWHOPE.ORG

that is great that Steven was honored by Mr. Bush. Gotta love when they "higher ups" recognize your talents. So great that Smitty got to be the one to present it to him in front of a sold out home town crowd. Glad they had a great time together on the tour. Still hoping that it will come to Wa so I may witness it ( the show @ the fair out here I didnt have tickets for & watched through the fence lol. ). Keep up the awesome job of bringing the message of Jesus to the people Steven & you too Mary Beth. I love reading your blog. I was there to witness this great thing! It was so awesome! I have to say the show at the Ryman Tuesday night was sometimes emotional, upbeat, funny and so AWESOME! Mary Beth I wanted to introduce myself to you but didn't want to take away from the night. I had 3rd row seats and I must say the best seats in the house. I hope we can meet sometime, I would love to get a chance to sit and talk with you for awhile.
