Shaoey and her Team the Mustangs won the Championship! They had to play two games, but in the end, it was all Mustang power! We had a lot of fans on hand, and Shaoey's awesome brother, Willy Frank, ended up assistant coaching. The most important part of the tournament was that the girls had fun! Thanks to Coach Omer and Coach Heil for helping the girls have fun and learn the game of Basketball!. I am always amazed at how intense any game your child is involved in can be. As you will be able to see in this clip, the parents were very excited and fired up! Shaoey was so excited....you just can even begin to know how hilarious it was to watch her play. A Willy in the making!

Hi Mary Beth - thanks for sharing that clip of Shaoey's game. She really knows how to stick with her opponent - wow! My Dad would be impressed! I grew up on the side of the basketball court - my Dad was a coach and the gym was our second home on weekends so that clip brought back many fond memories, though my Dad coached high school ball. I have to agree with the poster who wondered if the ref was sleeping - the whistle should have gone MUCH sooner. Poor Shaoey - but never gave up and never let go of the ball.
Thanks again for sharing. :)

MBC,
I don't know anything about b.ball. It is fantastic to see a child going all-out and her family celebrating with her. It's obvious you continue to take the opportunities to be there for your other kids despite the grief you live with. ~Admiration and love as always
Livia,
There aren't any words really. I read a powerful book called A Grace Disguised by Gerald Sittser spelling??) He lost his wife, mother and daughter in one accicident. It's about his grief. May it bless you.

Mary Beth,
There is a mother that I think would benefit greatly from a word of encouragement from you. Her son was born with a terminal illness and she struggles daily with the fact that he will never grow up like other children. In her blog today she quoted one of SCC's songs, "Miracle of the Moment" and talked about what an uplifting inspiration that song is to her. Here is her site: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/ianandyellis. Her name is Mary Ellis. Please pray for her, her husband Wae & their little boy Ian. Thank you!

Dearest Livia,
I'm so very sorry for the loss of your precious little Isaac. My prayers are with
you and your family.
I pray that the burden you carry will be lifted and you will find the peace that you
deserve. Pleases don't carry your guilt.
Things happen in our lives that are sometimes hard to understand.
But one day we will have
the answers. The Lord loves you and he wants you to lay down your guilt. I know
it will be hard for you as humans we sometimes think we have to suffer for the
mistakes we make. Isaac loves you and God
loves you and you will see your precious baby again until that time the Lord is watching and loving him as he is watching you and loving you. I know that one day
your precious Isaac will run to you with open arms and all the love will overflow
you both when you are together again.
My heart breaks for you and your family,
but you will live again. You will.
I will pray for you and your family.
God Bless you and your family Livia.
Your sister in
Christ
Tori
Sorry for the broken paragraphs when I look
at in the box it looks perfect.

Hello Ms. Chapman,
You dont know me, but your husband's music have surely blessed me a lot. Of course I have learned that you lost your baby girl. Thats the reason I am writing you.
I too, lost my beautiful 17 month old boy- Isaac on February 19 2009. He drowned in the swimming pool just a few steps away from me. I got distracted in a phone call and job hunting on the internet and I didnt see him going into the pool. I sometimes feel ok but many times I feel so guilty. Sometimes I think I wont be able to "live" again. I just wanted to share it with you because I know how you must have felt and how your son felt too. I am sorry for your loss.

I do miss those days as a parent! :) Now that mine are grown, those videos (which were VHS) are now so fun to look back on when I miss my kids being little. :) She is such a little fighter with that basketball, Mary Beth! :)
