Those paying close attention will see that these tour dates are in addition to appearances Steven and Mary Beth are making at Women of Faith (on Saturday morning in most case) I hope you won't miss it. It's likely never to happen again... all those Chapmans together (on tour I mean) :-)
And for those who have criticized or defended me in the comments of my blog these past few weeks... These words. I’m sad that I’ve disappointed you. In the days following the catastrophic loss nearly two years ago now I took on the lead role of blogging, the Chapmans just weren’t able. It became a key part of what the site delivered during this crisis period. It was my goal to keep you informed on how you could best pray for them in that timeframe.
As the Chapmans have slowly begun to return to public life, I in turn have likewise retreated to what I feel my proper role is, (and where I am most comfortable) the background. While I want the blog to be a place of contact, and hope you’ll visit, I’ll post as I’m able. But really the blog network is focused on content from SCC and Mary Beth, who also post as they are able. The House Mix blog is something I do enjoy connecting with you through, and as I can I share news here with you I do.
But the vast majority of my job in representing Steven revolves around trying to help accomplish his ministry and career objectives. Short of getting to share the end result news with you, very little of what I do each day has much to do with writing this blog, time just doesn’t allow me to manage his career and ministry and then also blog about it very often. The reason I’m not here is I’m working on the thousands of things either not worthy or not able to be posted here... yet.
So you see, when I’m not here... that doesn’t mean “I’m not working on Steven,” “that we’ve had a falling out,” that I have “a job that allows for me time for a month.” It also doesn’t mean it’s a one way conversation, im ignoring you, or that I don’t care. It simply means that the focus of the blog isn’t me, and that the House Mix Blog is one part of all the things I do, and that I’m posting as often as items are newsworthy and I’m able to share at that time.
All of that said, we want you to enjoy and love the site. And we want to give you the content you desire. And we will always welcome your constructive comments to that end.

Jim, I'm so sorry to see this post even has to exist. I've noticed your absence, but only for the reason you stated above...you are doing your job. You always have. Praise Him for answered prayers and that healing is taking place for ALL of you. That there is a new wonderful normal that your lives can be for Him. That you are serving Him in the way that only He desires. I'm sure its also exciting for you that they are back blogging and moving forward.
Thank YOU for being a servent of the Lord and also for doing all you do to include us.
Blessings Brother!

Jim,
I started to leave a teasing post about how the west coast might have to sue for discrimination if you don't bring this AWESOME tour out here...and then I saw some of this nastiness.
You're a class act. Never apologize for that. There are always critics (I have my share in the small public spotlight I'm in) and you have to ignore them and focus on the mission laid before you.
That's what you've always done and you're on the right track.
Best,
Aaron
PS: California California California California California California California California California California California California California California...sorry, I couldn't resist. Do I really have to spend a fortune to fly to Chicago to see this concert? :)

come NORTH!!! some of us folk are transplanted Southerners ya know. We get nada up here in the cold, rocky NE states. Take care of those Chapmans Jim, and yourself too!

Jim... I agree with Aaron, especially the part about coming to CALIFORNIA! I have seen every SCC tour that has come through(even it I had to drive 5 hours to get there) since Heaven in the Real World! I do hope that you will be coming out this way with this tour too!
God bless you all!

Thanks Jim. My only criticism is that the Chapmans aren't coming further west. (think Fresno and think In n Out Burger) We just had the privilege of seeing Steven Curtis and Mary Beth at the Summitt and appreciate them both greatly. They continue to be an encouragement and a testimony of marvelous grace. Our great God has used them in providentially mighty ways in many lives, including ours.
By the way, can you ask them if they received "Noah Maxim's Journey Home", from Scott?
Thanks Jim for the inside scoop.

I think the Chapmans must hate Louisville, KY because he just doesnt come around here very often anymore... sigh...

How about the North West - Washington is mighty pretty as well as Oregon. Thanks for the update. You do a terrific job Jim.

Uhh? Hello? California??? PLEASE?????
Posted by: Heather EV | May 10, 2010 at 01:37 PM
I don't think Jim actually apologized did he?
He merely states the fact that he is busy (aren't we all) and he is trying to move on. That's fine. A lot of speculation though could have been removed if he had only posted this latest blog prior to going on hiatus for 6 weeks. It's only human nature to wonder what has happened as we creep on our favorite celebrities.

Hey Mr. Jim,
You're doing fine!
This tour is a FABULOUS idea.....I hope that NC will be added to the venues soon. But if not, that's okay, too. As long as the Lord Jesus is being glorified and I can hear about his children walking in His Light, I'm a happy camper. :)
Love from NC!

Jim you do a great job. Keep up the great work! It makes me sad that people would criticize you. A night with the Chapmans what a great idea! Have you considered recording the concert on a DVD or CD?
Posted by: Shari | May 10, 2010 at 06:14 PM
I noticed that "a few more may be added" to the tour cities. Pleeeeeease add Minneapolis/St. Paul! Please, please please! But, if not, then we WILL travel to Green Bay to see the Chapmans!

People never really do understand behind the scenes jobs until they step into the shoes of one. It's a lot of work. I do appreciate all you have done for keeping us informed of how God is answering our prayers over these past two years.
Maybe down the road if you plan on a winter/spring tour, you can add Phoenix, Arizona to your list of cities. And if not, now that I have the dates for tour, I'll be able to stand with them at every concert through prayer.
Blessings from the Lord be upon you today in your ministry and family!
"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous face many troubles, but the LORD rescues them from each and every one." Psalm 34:18-19

I see the two girls are pictured as well.
Will they be performing too? How cool that would be!

So CAL would LOVE to see the Chapmans! Tell 'em we will provide all the In N Out they can eat! Please! :)

Wonderful news! May the Lord grant grace in all the preparations and all the other daily work & ministry, and may He be glorified as the Chapmans tell their story of the beauty they SEE God bringing forth from the ashes. I can't tell you how much this family has ministered to me over the years - Steven's music and Mary Beth's writing. Thanks Jim for all you do to make what they do possible.

I'll throw my vote out for Washington - Seattle area would be just fine! :)
Jim - you're the best. It's the little behind the scenes things (that aren't so little!) that make everything we DO see happen. Don't worry. You are much loved and cared for. :) I'm grateful for everything you do--for the Chapmans and the Housers and everyone else. :)

So excited to see the whole family coming, but sorry for the reasons behind it. We also lost a little girl and realize what courage it takes for Mary Beth to share. We have our tickets for Lancaster and are looking forward to it. Thank you, Jim for the great job you do!

Adding in another vote for Seattle...SCC doesn't seem to make it out to the West Coast much (neither does anyone else for that matter!)
We love you Jim!
