Thank you Mr. Jim. That was a great article and a very interesting magazine. I enjoyed it tremendously.
On a more serious note: (not)
Ya got any newfound words of "wisdom" for us since last week? :)
Love from NC.

Amazing article. I even had Heaven is the Face playing in the background. Between the article and the song...the tears were flowing. Wow...this family just takes my breath away. Every time I write a comment I try to finds the words to express just what this family, whom I have never met, means to me and I fall short every time.
Jim...please keep reminding them that they are prayed for and thought of every day and that I share Maria's story and SCC's music. I know that Steven would have loved nothing more than to never had written the songs on this new album but he has done so with such grace and honesty and hopefulness and I know that Beauty Will Rise.

Hi, sorry, I didn't know where to post this, but I mentioned Steven's adoption song "All I really want for Christmas" on my aha moment about my adoption, and it might make the Mutual of Omaha tv commercials next year (well, an edited version of it) I wanted to let Steven know, if he'd be interested. The edited version (without the mention) currently being voted on:

or the original moment, with the song mention:

Thanks, sorry to hijack your blog for an unrelated comment. =)

Amazing article. I'm looking forward to this album more and more, especially as I am continuing in my own journey of grief still, and the release date is close to the anniversary of my father's death (November is the hardest month for me, always).
And I'm glad they included a link for the song. I haven't heard it many times since my local station STILL isn't playing it - sad that it's not getting more airplay :(

Hi Jim!
Thanks for letting us know! Awesome article and pictures!
The editors note was very nice, too!
I loved how the video of SC talking comes up. Very nice...so
cool to hear him speaking like that along with the article!
Beautiful!
Remember that YOU, too, make a difference with everything you do Jim!
Thanks for being such a blessing to us all!!!

Hi Jim
My name is Kenny Hebert and I pastor a church in Chicopee, MA. We are launching a new radio program on local radio station in a week. We were tossing around ideas for the name and theme and came up with the "Kingdom Adventure".
We were working on our promo ad for the station when my wife remember an earlier song of Steve's called The Great Adventure. She started singing the song and it fit the theme of the radio program and thought it would be a great open to the program.
We were wondering if we could use a clip from the song as the open for the program. Is that possible?
Blessings
Kenny

Steven's songs and story have touched us deeply. 1977 we lost a 3 yr. old to cancer. I almost lost my faith & was angry at God for sometime (afterall, ministers & minister's wives "shouldn't feel that way"). Six yrs. ago our 24 yr. old daighter, who had just been accepted into the U of MN Medical School, was diagnosed with nonhodgkins lymphoma. Seven cancerous tumors--chances of survival nil. She had a bone marrow transplant and is still struggling w/graff versus host--rejection of her brother's stem cells. She's a "miracle child," but struggling hurrendously. She said she would come with me (please pray that she and her sister will) to Women of Faith, Excel Center, St Paul, MN. Could we possibly meet personally with Steven & Mary Beth back stage?
My husband was diagnosed with Mantle cell lymphoma 1 yr. after our daughter--given 18 months to live, but still living by the grace of God 5 yrs. plus, still undergoing chemo, but appreciating life and each day we're given all the more.
None of this stuff is something anyone would have wanted, but I've come to believe God uses it to touch others in most surprising, awesome ways. Even though tragedies like these and Maria's are ever so hard and difficult, when God is in it, life and faith eventually becomes deeper, richer, and even more beautiful in unexplainable, astounding ways--more than we can ever imagine. I truly believe God is already doing that through Steve's music and stroy. God is touching hurting lives and aching, empy hearts through ones who are also hurting ever so deeply. Maria's short life has and will continue to touch more people than you'll ever, ever know.
Again, if (4 of us) could meet w/Steven & Mary Beth for a few minutes backstage to talk, pray, wherever God leads, at Women of Faith, Excel Center, St Paul, MN, October 16-17, it'd be a "God Moment" for us.
Thanks for your time. Blessings of comfort, hope, & God's peace, presence, & power be w/you all during these ever-so-difficult times.

has anyone told Steven that he looks like a younger version of Phil Jackson (coach of LA Lakers)?
the "zen master" has nothing on the true Master! Keep singing and glorifying God! The Lord is using you to make a huge impact in people's lives for Christ!
