It was a huge day yesterday in the life of the manager of Steven Curtis Chapman.
A cd of music now filled. & look closely friends. This photo tells you a lot. There is now an album title for Steven's upcoming release.
This is the disc I handed off to a key label guy last night around 10p. Oh yeah, it looks as though we have landed on our label home for the next project too.
Shortly ill be able to show you the album cover and announce a release date.
Is your heart beating a little faster and is there a smile on your face thinking about new music from SCC? Me too. : )
It's good to see that 12 of the songs are either done or almost there. :) And I love the title as well.

oh, I can't wait! I've been not-so-patiently waiting to hear the beauty that will rise from his ashes. I'm anxious to hear the songs that, no doubt, will speak to my heart as though they had been written for me, and to see then the beauty that can continue to rise from my own ashes.

hi jim,
my family and i visited nashville 2 weeks ago and took one of the trolley tours. it took us through the area downtown where all the big name producer's offices are. i just held my breath and prayed for you, SCC, and all the other christian artists that have glorified GOD with their talent and probably had their works go through those offices at some point. can't wait to hear this one!!!

With the knowledge that one is called "Questions" (via Twitter), I am SO excited! I know this album will be so real and impactful and raw. That's how SCC does it, y'know? Lol, can't wait!

My heart did skip a beat there.
But I have to say, it was as much a wince as it was a joy-filled thing. Like so many, I still wish this wasn't the present for the Chapmans.
But I know God does create beauty from ashes. It's His way.
Eagerly looking forward to God's glory though Steven's music.

Yes, Jim, my heart definitely did beat a little faster at seeing this post. I have to admit, it's been a while since your blog brought me to tears, but it did today. Brings up all those old feelings from months ago...ya know? The days when we were all hanging on your every post, waiting for news about the next step in the Chapmans' journey....the interviews, the magazines, the first concerts, and now a new release. (More tears.) Another step in God's healing process. I am so thankful that you have allowed all of us to be a part of this journey. How we have come to love them (and you!) during this past year - and I'm so grateful to see some of the fruit of all those many, many prayers we have prayed for them. Beauty Will Rise...indeed.
