I 'spoke' to Steven for about 3 1/2 hours typing back and forth on ichat yesterday. Actual work accomplished, 20 minutes worth. So arduous to communicate a continent away.
But the end results... we have a label partner, we have a street date for an album release, we have a specific song that the label has requested approval to send to radio, we have granted that permission, we have a radio add date, we are very, very close to an album cover, we are very, very close to a single cover and... You are very close to hearing new music from Mr. Chapman.
Meeting at the label tomorrow afternoon with the core team of people that are taking the hand off of the completed album from Steven. For the first time ever, he made the album in a total vacuum. And for that reason so many of us are hearing the songs for the very first time this week, when they are already complete, which is unusual. Steven felt it was important that he just made the album he needed to make unaware of input from others (even though he loves and trusts them) because of the different nature of the album.
Again on this album, The House Mix will be your place for the behind the scenes updates as we build to the (day/month/year here) release date :-) of Steven's new release BEAUTY WILL RISE. And the song "song title here" on (day/month/year here) radio single add date. :-)
ok, ok, I'll tell you this much... the radio single is entitled, "Heaven Is The Face" and the add date for radio and for itunes and other DSP's is projected and nearly locked for late August. (but don't tell anyone I told you)
