I 'spoke' to Steven for about 3 1/2 hours typing back and forth on ichat yesterday. Actual work accomplished, 20 minutes worth. So arduous to communicate a continent away.
But the end results... we have a label partner, we have a street date for an album release, we have a specific song that the label has requested approval to send to radio, we have granted that permission, we have a radio add date, we are very, very close to an album cover, we are very, very close to a single cover and... You are very close to hearing new music from Mr. Chapman.
Meeting at the label tomorrow afternoon with the core team of people that are taking the hand off of the completed album from Steven. For the first time ever, he made the album in a total vacuum. And for that reason so many of us are hearing the songs for the very first time this week, when they are already complete, which is unusual. Steven felt it was important that he just made the album he needed to make unaware of input from others (even though he loves and trusts them) because of the different nature of the album.
Again on this album, The House Mix will be your place for the behind the scenes updates as we build to the (day/month/year here) release date :-) of Steven's new release BEAUTY WILL RISE. And the song "song title here" on (day/month/year here) radio single add date. :-)
ok, ok, I'll tell you this much... the radio single is entitled, "Heaven Is The Face" and the add date for radio and for itunes and other DSP's is projected and nearly locked for late August. (but don't tell anyone I told you)
I can't wait! I just know this albulm is going to touch my heart in a way no other has. I will hear the love pour from SCC to his sweet Maria and his Lord. Can't wait.

I heard Steven sing this song in May at Busch Gardens - it was absolutley beautiful! I get teary eyed just thinking about it. Can't wait for the album.

Oh, the suspense. I don't know if I can handle waiting till then!
I made a note about This Moment in a recent post celebrating our 1 year referral anniversary. Was such a special day for us, reliving the joy of "meeting" our little one. And This Moment has been literally a soundtrack for our whole year or 14 months of the journey.
Can't wait to hear what this one will be like!

That is great news!!! Any chance at all that we'll get to hear the song at the Iowa State Fair? It's mid-August, not late-August, but... Can't wait for the fair concert and for more information on the new album!

So looking forward to celebrate in the healing this album has brought forth to Steven. Cant imagine how incredibly hard it must have been to continue writing from the heart & share the message after all he & his family have been through. I am sure there will be tears abound when listening to this album. Joy & sadness alike. Cant wait to hear it. Thanks so much for keeping us up to date on everything new.

Question, does the album title originate from my favorite scripture passage in Isaiah 61 where God promises to give beauty in the place of ashes? that'd be so cool, and so personal for me. cannot WAIT to hear the new stuff!!! UGGGHHH, the suspense! the waiting! Let me know if yall need help listening to the stuff before release for a thumbs up or down. i'm your girl. I would so do it!

Very excited here in Indy....only one question: what's this about a "new label"? Is Sparrow not SCC's label anymore? A bit confused on this one....

That's awesome!!! I'm really excited for this album! But I can only imagine how hard it is for SCC and all of you without sweet Maria...prayers continue for you all. I'm sure the writing must have been really intense this time around for him. I hope and pray that ppl will be touched and blessed by this album, and that it will help SCC and family (and you Jim and all the rest of their friends and support!) in the healing process.
