How about a little fun? Our friends at Steven’s record label, Sparrow Records have cooked up an idea for us. As we approach Father’s Day, we’d like you to submit your photos of Dad’s and daughters (sons allowed too) A “Cinderella” music slideshow featuring many of your smiling faces will premiere at StevenCurtisChapman.com on or around Fathers Day.
If the readers of The House Mix respond with the photos we need, it’ll be Our exclusive. Unless Mary Beth or Grace find out and try to sneak in too. So send the pics now, deadline to receive your photo is June 7th. And when you submit, you understand that your photo may be used for commercial exploitation and therefore waive any rights and grant Sparrow or EMICMG an irrevocable, gratis license and permission to use any submitted material for any commercial or promotional usage to its benefit in perpetuity.
It could be from your wedding 20 years ago, or a photo you took 20 minutes ago. Smiles or tears... Pics with Emotion (that are in focus) are what I think they are looking for, so e-mail ONE PHOTO now to this address, sccvideophoto@gmail.com
For example, here's what I might submit... My first smile from Katie. Just hours into knowing her she had me forever. : ) Send us yours!
That is an awesome idea Jim. Love the beautiful photo of your little smiler. She is gorgeous. Will be sending my pic over shortly. I have a really cute one. Though I am sure that everyone's will be in their own way.

What a great idea! Adorable picture of you and your daughter. My Mom said my Dad was the same way She said he was always SO careful when he handled me and she had to assure him I wasn't going to fall apart, as he handled me like a China doll. Katie's such a cutie!!!

What a wonderful idea and such a sweet picture of you and your daughter. I just sent my picture - one of the very last pictures I have of my Dad and I.

The link on the blog didn't work, so I just sent by typing it manually in my gmail account. Thanks for the opportunity to participate :)
Still praying for everyone in the Chapfam and staff...each time I see a ladybug or find a 4 leaf clover (which I do quite a bit) I say an extra prayer, asking for comfort and strength as they still grieve their loss.

Your "cheese" gives me happy tears. Our (second) little girl still is in the orphanage, waiting to come home. In all of our referral pictures, and monthly updates, she is one serious cookie (even some outright frowns!). We ache to see that first smile.

PS. Entering is hard. I briefly looked through our iPhoto albums and it draws me in. Reliving memories, thinking about how our kids are growing. *Sigh* They grow sooo fast. If I can narrow it down, I'll certainly submit! :-)

ok I have to ask is it one phote per email address or one photo per email? ;-) like everyone else I'm having a hard time narrowing down!

What a beauty your Katie is! Thanks for sharing that photo with us!!
I love the idea of the photos. I'll be sending one in of my husband and daughter. This is precious, because my daughter went to heaven 5 1/2 years ago and Father's days are killers for my husband.

Submitted a photo of Ethan and his dad. It was very hard...I couldn't decide whether or not to go with a pic like his first diaper change (Dillon had never even held a baby til Ethan!!), or right after his surgery or from later days. Diaper pic wasn't too clear and surgery pic brought back mixed emotions. Went with the most recent. Gosh, though. I can't believe how time has flown...he's 6 months old today and doing really well. He sure was a wittle guy...it's so easy to forget.
For those of you who remember Ethan's story, thanks again for the prayers! We truly appreciate them! He is one happy kid!!!!

I'll have to look for a photo of me and my dad since I don't have any kids - lol I'm too young.
God bless you Jim and your family, and all the Chapmans. Love and prayers,
Amy D - I remember Ethan's story and am so glad to hear that he's doing well!! How awesome and I'm praying for continued health and happiness for your son. God bless you and your family!

I have to tell you, Jim, I have come back to peek at this photo a few times, now. Each time I find myself looking and you, looking at your sweet daughter, Katie, seeing you both smiling, and, then I realize I'm sitting here at my computer...smiling, too! Such a precious photo. Even in your side profile, we can see how much you adore your daughter! Great photo!! Thank you so much for sharing!

Hey Jim,
Yup, I've sent mine.
Can you give us a ballpark figure of how many you have received thus far?(i.e. "Not many," "Plenty," or "Overwhelming Response.") I'm trying not to get my hopes up that you will use my submission but it sure will be awesome if ya do. It will be a SWEET tribute no matter what. Your pic with Katie is adorable.
Love from NC.
