Today, I'm remembering an awful, tragic day a year ago. And thinking about the journey since. It was a year ago today, May 21, 2008, that for reasons only God can explain Maria Sue Chapman left this earth.

It's a hard week. And here comes May 21st.
Aslan is about to leave Lucy as says to her, "do not look so sad, we shall meet again soon.
Please Aslan, said Lucy, what do you call soon?
I call all times soon, said Aslan."

For reasons even more unclear than the first time they invited me, ObscureGenius.com is having me back. : ) And this time for your questions only. (since we ran out of time when I appeared in January and answered zero of them, sorry!)

It was beautiful ceremony on the dock on the lake on her parent's property, the new Mrs. Caleb Chapman and her groom were joined as husband and wife. The wedding was beautiful, and Maria Chapman was remembered with flower girl Stevey Joy tossing "arts and crafts" handmade flowers that Maria would have loved making. And the rain which has been ever present for the last 2 weeks here in middle TN held off.
Then we all headed to a rockin' reception. : ) At the party, just a few hundred yards away from the offices of Show Hope where they work when Caleb is not touring with Steven, Julia Anderson Chapman's first dance with her new husband was to the strums and singing of father of the groom, Steven Curtis Chapman, singing his well known wedding classic, "I Will Be Here."
