I had a brief meeting with Steven on Thursday. It ended with him playing me parts of 3 songs up in The Laundry Room, his studio. I offer photographic proof of just how cool my job is. : )
No plans or a timeline on a future release currently, but you readers of the StevenCurtisChapman.com blogs will be the first to know.
Awesome! That makes my day! Now I'll start praying for another tour... :)

I love to see that! :) My husband's "studio" is our basement (although his studio consists of my son's drum set and a couple guitars; not nearly as much as that room has! :D
I heard that there was a Chapman baptism at church yesterday morning, Jim, is that true? If true, that warms my heart to hear that! :)

By the way, Jim, thanks for posting that picture. I've always wondered about his song writing process, and I'd love to see more!

They also do laundry in that room?? ;) In all seriousness, that is beautiful to hear! I took a long hiatus from writing songs and poetry, and I've made it a point to start doing it again. It is a dream (notice the word dream) for me to have one of my songs read and recorded by someone in the Christian music community. To be able to be so close to someone who has the ability to do that, Jim, you do have the coolest job in the world!! :)

Praying the Lord ministers to YOU, Steven, as you pick up your own specialized "sword." May you rise up with wings as eagles, and find fullness of joy in His presence. Praying fervently...

Just making sure that Ican use the song and title to do a Father/Daughter banquet. I want to decorate like cinderella and use that song for the Dad's to dance with their daughters. I wanted to promote it by using the song and meaning of the song in the ad in the newspaper. I don't want to do anything with out asking
