A Beautiful Wedding
Honoring the privacy of the new bride and groom, no in depth blogging on the wedding on Saturday. No photo to share for now. I will give you these tidbits... It was a small and private affair. The weather was perfect, and it was incredibly beautiful. Emily looked amazing. "How do bride's do that?" I asked my wife. : ) Tanner was looking sharp as well. Perhaps we can convince Emily to share more details and a photo or two when they return in a few weeks from the honeymoon. No promises, no rush. Congratulate them here. : )
I saw Steven briefly... I've missed him during the wedding block, which ends tomorrow. See you Tuesday we promised.
Final Rehearsals for The United Tour were up and running yesterday. Do you have your tickets? Do you have your gear? Live blogging from yours truly on the road begins Thursday and runs through the weekend. : ) In the meantime, Pushing a tour out the door!
PS The work is a little easier today thanks to Millie. Thanks for the love! : )
Selfishly, I wanted more details and to see pictures of the wedding. Naturally, I'm disappointed because we love this family so much and feel like they're ours, too, because they have so graciously allowed us into their lives. Having said that however, this family has had to endure very public scrutiny and share intimate, private details for 5 months now. If Emily and Tanner want to keep this day for them and their immediate family and friends, that's perfectly fine. I'm disappointed, but hey, it's understandable. I'm sure they all get tired of living in a fishbowl. I'm thankful for a beautiful day for them. Even though we don't know details, I feel certain that God allowed for the family to encounter at least a special moment from above regarding Maria for the day, too.
Thanks for the update, Jim. As usual, you're very sensitive to this precious family that means so much to so many. What a wonderful man you are and a fine line you have to walk. I'm certain there is a great pressure upon you that you bear well. Your blogs are very insightful, yet respectful.
Still praying daily for this family and for you.

I prayed for the Chapman family all throughout the day on Saturday. I was also praying for another family of close friends. They were celebrating the home-going of their 24 year old daughter who died in a car accident last Sunday. Like Maria, she lived life to the fullest. It is so great to know that we serve a loving Father and will see these precious girls again some day!

Thanks, Jim! We lifted the entire family up in prayer over the weekend & I confess, I kept checking your blog hoping to see a picture. But can understand the wish for privacy from Emily & Tanner. Thanks for keeping us in the loop & good luck w/the tour!

I am so happy that the day was beautiful! God bless the newlyweds in every way!
HOWEVER, as much as I agree that they are due some privacy and all, NO PICTURES is pure torture on this girl!!!:)
Just kidding (kinda), I am so truly happy for them. I pray that the family is Blessed and had nuggets from Heaven to show that Maria was there!

Carol from Arkansas said it perfectly...wanting more but understanding completely. Please let this family who is so precious know that we are still praying and still lifting them up.
Thanks Jim for all you do.

I'm smiling at your comment that it was a "small and private affair", knowing from Grace's blog that MB made 500 programs! "just 500 of our closest friends" *smile*.
Thank you for honoring their privacy, Jim. Prayers for you all as you set out on the road with the guys this weekend. Hope you have an awesome time!

I am so very glad the day was so beautiful and special!
I just wanted to say that I am praying for Steven and Mary Beth especially today... Sometimes the "highs" can be followed by equally intense "lows". It doesn't always follow that way, but in my experience it usually does. There is something so tender about a newly broken heart that does not handle great joy as easily as it once did... I'm hoping that they will understand this process and give themselves grace in it.

Thanks for the info that you were able to share and I appreciate the thoughtfulness in protecting Emily and Tanner's privacy. They are do that just like everybody else is when they get married. God bless!

I 'm so glad every was beautiful for them! I'll admit, I was hoping to see a picture or 2 of how incredibly gorgeous Emily must've looked! (And, I was definitely hoping to see a video of the Father-Daughter dance with Caleb singing - very curious about what he did with the 3rd verse!) But, I also very much respect you for maintaining and respecting their privacy. I'm sure it's hard to balance on that fine line. I know I couldn't do it!

Jim, thanks for the updates and Carol from Arkansas, thank you for saying it so well. I hope that everyone in our little, big blog family is doing well!
I would appreciate your prayers for a family member who is experiencing marital problems after 9 years of marriage and 2 precious children. After speaking with them both myself, professional counseling is much needed but I am not sure that they realize it. My heart is breaking for the kids especially, and I would appreciate your prayers on their behalf. My prayer for them has been that they would fall in love with the Lord above ALL THINGS and ANYTHING, that issues would be dealt with, and that the children would be protected.
Thank you ALL for sharing life with each other through this blog. We are the BODY of CHRIST!!

Jim, thanks for telling us what you can :) You do a very good job keeping us informed, but at the same time giving the Chapmans some needed privacy. God has blessed you with a humble heart.
I was on a christian retreat over the weekend and prayed for Emily and Tanner and the rest of the Chapman clan while I was there. So glad to hear that it was a beautiful wedding with great weather :) God bless the newlyweds!
Love you all and continue to pray. Praying for the tour preparation and will be praying as you guys go out on the road. God loves you and will get you through this week.
Blog family - I hope everyone had a great weekend! God bless each one of you.
