A Beautiful Wedding
(I'm getting some comments here so clarifying...)
My decision here... I am going to wait on the bride and groom, and allow them to post if they'd like to. They are not the public figures... the bride's Dad is.
So no in depth blogging on the wedding on Saturday. No photo to share for now. I will give you these tidbits... It was a small and private affair. The weather was perfect, and it was incredibly beautiful. Emily looked amazing. "How do bride's do that?" I asked my wife. : ) Tanner was looking sharp as well. Perhaps we can convince Emily to share more details and a photo or two when they return in a few weeks from the honeymoon. No promises, no rush. Congratulate them here. : )
I saw Steven briefly... I've missed him during the wedding block, which ends tomorrow. See you Tuesday we promised.
Final Rehearsals for The United Tour were up and running yesterday. Do you have your tickets? Do you have your gear? Live blogging from yours truly on the road begins Thursday and runs through the weekend. : ) In the meantime, Pushing a tour out the door!
PS The work is a little easier today thanks to Millie. Thanks for the love! : )
Thanks Jim for doing what you have to! If they do eventually post about the wedding that's cool. If not, that's fine too. No complaints from me :)
Love you guys.

Jim,
As much as we would love to hear stories and see pictures, we also respect your decision to allow Emily and Tanner to do the posting. I love how respectful of the family's privacy you are and how respectful the blog family is for the Chapmans. Now the Chapman's and Richards. Thank you for everything you do allow us to have insight into.
I prayed for the wedding all day at work Saturday, thankful the day was incredibly quiet and allowed time for prayer and reflection. My 12th anniversary was yesterday.
Please let the family know we are still praying for them. I know how the time after a huge celebration or event can be a huge low time. Kinda like the day after Christmas when your a kid.
Anyway, Thanks for all you do for us Jim!

I think it is great that you are not posting pictures. Not that I wouldn't love to see them but this is a precious time that belongs to Tanner and Emily. It is only right that they be the ones to share pictures of this blessed. Thanks for having such great discernment in guarding them.
All blessings to you.

Hey Jim~
Very well said! :) It was Emily & Tanner's DAY :), not mine or anyone else's :D If it were me, I'd like to pick out our OWN pictures too... (of course AFTER our Honeymoon)!!! hehehe Wow, a MONTH? Now that would be super duper special :D What a great gift from God!
Thanks Jim for all you do ~ you are amazing!
Have a kewl & blessed day :)
With Love In Christ,

Glad to hear everything went well! I prayed all day Saturday for all of you. While I hope that Emily will choose to post a picture, I definitely understand their desire to be out of the spotlight. I'll be praying for them- wherever they are!
I've been praying especially for Mary Beth today. I bet this week is going to be hard. No more choosing dresses and cakes, no more worrying over the guest list. With the house quiet as Will and the little ones are gone at school, my guess is that she will be dealing with grief that had to be pushed aside to get the wedding just right.
I know that when I came home from the hospital without my baby, the silence was deafening. Once all the busyness was over, I was alone in the house with that horrible silence. I am just praying that God would give Mary Beth strength and peace as now the 'real new normal' will set in.

Just a great example of your character. I appreciate it. Really. I am thanking God that He put you right by the Chapman's side! Just more proof that the Big Guy knows what He is doin'!

Jim, Thanks for your ministry to this family. You are priceless (in case we didn't tell ya lately).
Blog family, have a blessed day.

I really value your appreciation for privacy, Jim. :) I think that it's great you aren't showing off any wedding pictures. I think it was their magical ceremony; not one to just splash to millions of people around the world. If they choose to share their pictures from the ceremony, great. If they don't, it was never anything "owed" to "fans" anyways. I hope the newlyweds have an amazing honeymoon; still praying for them as they embark on this incredible journey together. As part of the CPA family, I have always appreciated how humble Mary Beth and Steven are when it comes to how they have lived and raised their family. Go, Lions! Willy, I am so happy you are back playing basketball and helping us win some games! :)

Hi Jim,
Understood! It was Emily and Tanner's wedding. We are way too excited and happy for both of them same goes especially for SCC and MB.
Anyway, we'll let Emily and Tanner decide on the photos and we are all here with full support with their decisions.
We are fervently praying for SCC and MB as well as the boys and the girls.
Please let them know that we cherish everything that you and Grace share with us.
Thank you so much for keeping us up to date!

Again, as the other comments mention, I am dissapointed that we can't see more, but I completely understand. Hopefully Emily will share a pic or two with her fans. :) I admire Jim and Grace for being so honestly loyal about not posting anything, though. Thanks, guys. I'm sure it was a beautiful wedding. Best of luck to them!

You're right, Mr. Jim. That's their decision.
Thanks for being so considerate of them.
Where did you get all this wisdom anyway? :)

Okay, even after checking the computer all weekend hoping for a photo of this special event I have to admit I do understand :) Hopefully Emily will decide to share a few photos. If not that is her decision of course, and we all respect that. I am so thankful that the day went well, more proof that our God answers prayers!! Lots of love to the Chapman family, and blessings to the newlyweds.

I wanted to also say, I've lurked for a long time. Hello, everyone! :) My children have all either been through or are going through CPA, and knowing that we have strong Christian families like the Chapmans in our educational system makes such a blessing to all the families there! I can't believe little Emily is married!! In the words of a beautiful Newsong song "when God made you, He must have been thinking about me." Tanner and Emily found each other, the way God intended. I know with His love and hands in their marriage, together they will be rocking grandchildren on their knees one day.

Jim, you are so right. Their wedding day belongs to Emily and Tanner. I appreciate the way you share what you can of Steven's life with us, yet remaining ever sensitive to the family's needs.
It sounds like many prayers were answered on Saturday! I'm excited for the newlyweds as they embark on the exciting adventure of marriage in the Lord!

Jim-
You do a fantastic job of keeping us, many fans of Steven's music, somewhat informed with what has been happening with the family, especially during this season of sadness, joy and adjusting, while maintaining their privacy. Steven, Mary Beth, Emily, Tanner and the rest of their families were in my prayers a lot over the weekend. As it was a day full of sooo many emotions. I am so glad that the weather was beautiful for their special day. I agree with many others as it is up to Emily and Tanner, even Steven if he chooses, whether they want to share with the rest of the world photos of their special day or not.
May God continue to bless you!
Thank you for keeping us updated with this special family God loves soo much!
In Christ,
Greta

:-) you are loved! just 2 words though: pace yourself! ;-)
It is wonderful the way you are honoring Emily and Tanner by allowing the information flow to go through them as they wish. It's been fun to see behind the scenes and stories here and on Grace's page, if for nothing else than as a reminder to lift them up in prayer!
I am just overjoyed to hear that Saturday was a beautiful day. How could it be anything less?! :-) Of course, God 'showed up' but to have beautiful weather just punctuates His love for His precious ones...
Thanks for letting us be a part of the joyous day in a small way :-)))
You are awesome Jim, and keep the prayer requests coming.
sending you many smiles and lot of love!
