We've confirmed Steven for an appearance on The Early Show on CBS next Wednesday, September 10.
Steven was originally booked to appear on The Early Show the Saturday prior to Father's Day on June 14, but obviously, the cancellation was necessary after the tragic loss of Maria. Steven wanted to honor his commitment eventually though, and the show has kindly welcomed him. We expect Steven will perform "Cinderella," and further details will follow.
Yes, next Wednesday, moment by moment blogging will be back. : )
what time will he be on?

Thanks for letting us know, Jim! Do you know what time he will be on?

I'm amazed at how God has opened so many HUGE doors for the Chapmans to share the story of Maria and how His love is so amazing. We're still praying for this sweet family and know that He will be glorified.
If I could be so bold to ask, I'd love for the blog family here to pray for a young lady named Olivia that was part of youth ministry we worked in for many years. She is now 18 and was involved in a very serious car accident last night. She is in critical condition in a local hospital and really needs prayer and God's almighty intervention. Thanks in advance for your prayers.

It would be our privilege to pray for Olivia. You may want to post this at the SCC Blog Family site:

Hi Jim,
The Lord Almighty is using the tragic loss of Maria as part of SCC and his family's current and future testimony more so to the hopeless and grieving families and us too that feels your loss and grief.
We are not surprise if other Primetime shows will also invite SCC and family to share their story. It is all GOOD and God's timing!!!
Our prayers will continue daily for renewed strength, peace that passes understanding, God's annointing words to the Chapmans, Jim and Dave and crew and healing rain as the family continues to walk one step at a time
honoring Maria's life and following God's calling.
"My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord"
Isaiah 55:8
With Much Love and Prayers.
P.S. We can't wait to see SCC and band w/ MWS tomorrow in their Michigan rescheduled concert. However, we'll miss Will Franklin for sure.

Yet another sign of a Godly man: the honoring of commitments made. We'll be watching in NC, Lord willing.
Don't worry about any timelines with the family blogs. God's timing is always perfect.
Thank you, Mr. Jim, for everything.

does he mean his blogs.... or the family's?
Posted by: brandy | September 03, 2008 at 11:50 AM
I'm assuming that he means his (Jim's) blogs since he spoiled us with all his moment by moments comments and pics from Steven's first concerts and such. Thanks, Jim! You're awesome!
Looking forward to the show next week. I will spread the word and, of course, be praying during it.
Praying also today for Olivia. Jill, keep us posted as you can.

I'll be praying and eagerly waiting for the program next week. Hearing him sing Cinderella on Focus on the Family was difficult, yet I was so encouraged by his story about how God spoke to his heart during his first concert back about how this is not a sad song. What amazing grace God has given to be able to make such a statement and sing the song.
I'm also praying for Olivia.
