I had a conversation this morning that struck me...
A friend said... interesting that the Good Morning America piece air date would move around so much.
I explained, well that's fairly normal in media, things change, producers trying to get best slot and most time for stories they believe in, news events, etc. That said, I'm really, really hopeful about the piece being what we would hope it to be. I am so thankful for the amazing lady who is producing and Robin Roberts was so kind and amazing. It's been such a great experience. So I don't think the moving around indicates anything but good things...
The friend smiled, I was clearly not getting their point... and then said... all the moving around and the airing lands on a Wednesday?
It'll be 12 Wednesdays ago (11 weeks) tomorrow since Maria went to be with Jesus. Because of her life and a tragic accident, millions of people will bump into a faith they may not understand on television outlets that don't often talk about God. Would you pray that hearts and minds will be prepared? That people will not be distracted from what could be a divine appointment tomorrow morning and/or Thursday night?
So this is my prayer...
God, would you please give the Chapmans strength and courage... and Your peace and Your words. If you do, I'm crazy enough to believe that the piece Good Morning America will air tomorrow, and the interview the Chapmans will grant to Larry King live in LA on Thursday could change someone's day, and just might change their life. And May it be so. May it be so for many. May you get the glory. Asking my faith and the faith of my friends be encouraged and emboldened by what You're doing. And that You'll show us, in obvious ways even my eyes can't miss, after this week all You've done already through this loss of Maria. And we'll try to remember to give you the glory God. This is our desire, that You be honored. Amen.
So... It's On Everyone. It's Serious. This Is A Key Moment. Pray Friends. Pray On.
fyi. still hearing that just after 8am Wednesday (8am wherever you are) is the time slot for the Chapman piece.
If internet connections and emotions allow, I'll blog extensively beginning in the afternoon on Thursday from LA with the Chapmans.
Jim,
Can't wait for the interviews! I know God is going to do amazing things through the Chapmans testimonies. Will be praying. Thanks again for the updates!

You know, Jim...
I was just riding back with my sister to her house and I said this to her: "Wow, tomorrow is the GMA thing on the Chapmans--it has been a long time in coming. You know what else is weird? The date was changed to a Wednesday--an "anniversary" day of when Maria went home to be with Jesus--kinda weird how that all happened, huh?"
When I stopped and thought about that, before I spoke those words to her, it made me smile at how detailed and on time our God is. He timing is perfect in every situation.
We have the DVR set up for tomorrow morning. We are anticipating seeing this beautiful family, share with so many people, the amazing faith that they are living out in the midst of tragedy.
Praying on for the Chapmans!
They are so loved... [and you, too, Jim!]

Always praying and will be watching/praying the next couple of days. Our prayers are with you all as you travel and work with people who may or may not know the God we do. Thanks for your faithful work for all the Chapmans and for keeping us informed, so we can pray more specifically.

So comforting to know that God is in control and has had all of this in His sight since the beginning of time. We will continue to pray for all that is taking place over the next couple of days. To God be the glory, indeed!

I just felt moved to share these lyrics to my favorite love song that Steven wrote. There may be many of you who aren't familiar with this one, since it wasn't the "hit" that "I Will Be Here" was. It's from "The Great Adventure" cd, and after watching the clip of the GMA interview, I just thought it would be good to post the lyrics here. I've been thinking of this song for awhile now, and copied them from a site called Christian Lyrics.com...hope they are all correct. Enjoy the words...it's called,
"Go There With You"
I know you've heard me
say these words before
But every time I say I love you
the words mean something more
I spoke them as a promise
right from the start
I said death would be the only thing
that could tear us apart
And now that you are standing
on the edge of the unknown
I love you means I'll be with you
wherever you must go
CHORUS A
I will take a heart whose nature
is to beat for me alone
And fill it up with you
make all your joy and pain my own
No matter how deep
a valley you go through
I will go there with you
CHORUS B
I will give myself to love the way
Love gave itself for me
And climb with you to mountaintops
or swim a raging sea
To the place
where one heart is made from two
I will go there with you
I see it in your tears
you wonder where you are
The wind is growing colder
and the sky is growing dark
Though it's something
neither of us understands
We can walk through this together
if we hold each other's hand
I said for better or for worse
I'd be with you
So no matter where you're going
I will go there, too
CHORUS A
BRIDGE
Oh, I know sometimes
I let you down
But I won't let you go
We'll always be together
CHORUS A
CHORUS B
Oh, I will go there with you
Oh, I will go there with you
Oh, I will go there with you
Oh, I will go there with you
Wherever you go,
I'll go with you
I'll go with you

Praying on for the comfort and healing of Steven and family and friends and that God will be glorified. "He never wastes a single hurt that we endure". This great hurt will not be wasted either. Prayerfully looking forward to sharing with them tomorrow morning and Thursday night.
To the praise of His mighty glory,

There are no accidents in God's timing. The interview on GMA on a Wednesday gave me goosebumps. Will be praying VERY hard for them.
Jim, again thank you for your faithfulness to the Chapmans, and to those of us here that wait for you to blog.
Another beautiful example of how God works is in the people who have all "met" online here, and are lifting each other up in prayer, along with the Chapmans. As one who asked for prayers, there are no words to describe the gift I feel I have been given in reading the posts that are written here. As was written yesterday, it's a part of Maria's legacy.

I saw on the GMA website (just now) that they're on at 7am. Is that a mistake? Is it really 8am? Anybody know?

Our God is SO amazing and so attentive to details. I have such love in my heart for Maria and all of her family and look forward to rejoicing with all of them someday in the eternal presence of the Lord.
And Jim, your providing this blog to enable us to walk through this time with the Chapmans is not only an opportunity to pray specifically for them but also a blessing to all of us who come here. Seeing the Body of Christ in action and feeling His love and provision through your blogs and everyone's posts is bringing so much encouragement to me personally right now, in the midst of a deep valley that my own family is walking through.
I'm praying (still) for many lives to be powerfully impacted through all of the channels the Lord is providing for the Chapman family to share their testimony (including the chapmanchannel...........thanks, Jim!) Praying also for safe travel tomorrow - I'm not sure if just Steven and Mary Beth are making the trip or if the kids will be at home: if so, would this be the first time Shaoey and Stevey have been away from both parents since Maria was taken home? Praying for protection and strength for all of them.

Tomorrow, August 6, is the Feast of the Transfiguration, when Jesus was transfigured on the mountain top. His glory was certainly revealed on that day. Praying that it will be the same tomorrow.

Lori ~ you asked if only SCC and MB will be going to LA. Obviously I don't know anything, but Grace's blog today sounds as if maybe the whole family will be going....?
