Part of a team of people, I'm Jim Houser, responsible for day to day management of Steven. I'd roughly define that as serving Steven, where he was 20 minutes ago to anywhere he will be in the next 2 to 5 years. I like it best when I accomplish this unseen.
It's so wonderful to see the guys together on stage again. I know God was glorified tonight through Steven, Caleb, and Will. I'm sure they felt the prayers of all of their brothers and sisters in Christ.
So proud of them... and hoping that God gives them some moments of pure joy this night. Even if they are only moments. Such joyfulness honors those we have lost as much as the sadness shows how much we miss them. I can just imagine that little Maria would be the proudest of all tonight.
Courage...faith...hope...a God Who is real makes all of these qualities real. It's nearly 1:00 here and I can't leave until I'm finished seeing what God is doing there. His name be praised. And to the Chapman family, His qualities live in you!
Wow. I feel like a 44-year-old groupie waiting for these blog updates, and then I read that they sang "Cinderella" and I am blown away. Although I have been a fan for almost 15 years, I am seeing SCC for the first time on July 24, and I am so overwhelmed being a "virtual" concertgoer, I can't imagine how it will feel to be there live. Thank You God Thank You God!!
What an awesome experience...and I was 9 hours away. The Power and Love of our Almighty God shines on...the Gospel IS TRUE! Take cover guys...rain's comin'. :)
The only way that SCC, his sons, and others with the team could perform tonight would be if God gave the ability. And did God ever give the blessing of ability for this night to happen. What a night! God was honored and audience was blessed. Hopefully, this night will give SCC, his sons, and the other team members even more courage to go forward and proclaim the Gospel so that all that will hear.
Thanks, Jim, for your part in keeping everyone posted on what was happening and allowing the many many prayer warriors knowledge in how to keep lifting SCC, Will, Caleb, and the others via prayer. Surely God has blessed. However, we will continue to pray.
Heavenly Father, You are AWESOME!!! Tried to go to bed, couldn't though because I was just to encouraged. Thank you Father from the bottom of our hearts for your grace and mercy.
Jim, you're awesome for posting all the updates tonight. I feel like a dork but have been checking all night. Isn't it unreal how the Chapman family seems like 'family' to thousands of people? Enough to make me "check on them" over and over tonight and countless others as well. What a blessed man you are to have the privilege of walking beside them.
You all have been in my thoughts and prayers all day today! I can't remember another time in my life when I have felt the conviction to pray for something or someone as strongly as I have over the past several weeks. Amazing! I know you all must be glad to make it over this hurdle and it is wonderful to see them all together. Jim, thank you so much for taking all of us complete strangers into your loving circle and letting us be a part of every aspect of this walk! God is good!
