Receiving a lot of tour questions... I usually keep quiet on these sorts of things because we just can't announce certain things, or just don't know certain things... until we actually announce them. But though i fear it could end badly, here's my best attempt.
Is SCC coming to the west coast on this tour? Not in the fall of 2010 he's not.
Is their a spring of 2011 leg to the tour? Undetermined.
If there is a spring 2011 leg to the tour will it be the same line up? Probably not.
Why all the ambiguity Jim? I'm not trying to be clever, it's just that schedules and career and ministry goals and vision and timing conflicts, and family timing, these all have to come together. Among other things... we're working on it though, so stay in touch.
Will there be additional dates added to Fall 2010 leg? Right now there are 4 or 5 cities we're finalizing details on. As soon as all the dates are up, we'll let you know, but almost all are there now and tickets are on sale in many markets now. Go get'em buy the way (see that buy the way, :-) yes, that just happened)
I've heard about a Q&A, what's the story there? With the exceptions of 3 SATs (and possibly others) where we're not able to due to schedule... In most cities, we are doing a Q&A prior to the concert as part of a VIP ticket package. Steven (and plan to also include Mary Beth in all as well) will take questions about 1 hour and 45 mins prior to the concert start time for about 30 to 40 mins.
I want to go to the meet & greet. How do I do it? There is no meet & greet on this tour. The Q&A is our replacement for the meet and greet. You could come to that with VIP ticket purchase. The Q&A gives the Chapmans a chance to engage with key folks and friends and while doing so allow all to hear each person's questions. (we'll get to as many as we can) The Q&A will also allow time for MBC to pick on SCC more. :-)
Are there other reasons you are not doing a meet & greet? Very frankly... Yes, this also allows the Chapmans to connect in a way that allows them to guard their hearts just a bit on given days that might be hard for them. It gives them the chance to stay the most on balance with grief and the stories and questions they may receive revolving around their loss of Maria Chapman in May 2008. (it's still very difficult)
What's different between Women of Faith and the A NIGHT WITH THE CHAPMANS concert? Women of Faith is an incredibly powerful weekend of ministry for women. A full line-up of speakers and teaching and encouragement and challenge. It's an amazing privilege to be a part of for Steven and Mary Beth. The tour on the other hand, is for all ages and men and women, and includes a lot more from each of the Chapmans, more music and more Mary Beth sharing, as time allows for us to do so there. The tour also includes the band Caleb.
If I missed a question, hit me back with a comment on this thread? I'll do my best to respond.
