Love it!!

My 2 cents:)
Maybe the "cuteness" of the card was being shared, and, not the date....maybe, Julia and Caleb would have liked to share that. Therefore, and again, maybe:)....Grace was just being nice and sharing the cute card while protecting the couple's privacy....maybe?

I agree the Chapmans are just like the rest of us. However this blog and others are maintained by employees who ultimately are employed by SCC.
Therefore, in part, it is used to to promote SCC.
There is nothing wrong with that. But then you are naturally going to get bloggers who see SCC as the Christian singer who they can't get enough of as fans and feel, for whatever reason, the need to know everything about him.

Stephanie - so very, very true. Thanks for that.
But to Grace - how cute! I think that is darling and very...Caleb! :) Thanks so much for sharing.

I don't understand the secrecy either but I respect it and them.Yes,they are well known people but we also have to remember not to exhalt well known people and expect perfection.I believe sometimes we accidently do that.I see that Chapman's like everybody else.I mean human, when they get home the trash still has to be taken out and dinner still needs to be cook and uh,life like the rest of us.
If I ever happened to meet them I would just act natural and talk to them like I was talking to my friends, parents, etc. They are just like the rest of us.They are just in a heavy duty ministry, busy and have different lifestyles like Steven singing, traveling, promoting and being up late at night when probably most of us are sleeping.
Don't get me wrong,I respect them but don't think they are perfect and put them in an unrealistic role.Their privacy is their buisness and I respect that.I exhalt Jesus and see the Jesus in them.Like when I see Steven in concert I see a man who is in a great Christian concert ministry,a family man and human, and see him as a friend, fan friend,he doesnt know me personally and that's ok.I think we need to be careful sometimes.I don't see Steven as oh he is the Christian singer.I see him like I see my friends and family and I pray for him and his family often just like my other friends and family.Although SCC probably doesn't even know I exist,I just keep realistic and care and pray for him.
Congrats Caleb and Julia.May you have a blessed marriage ok.Love ya!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks. I was wondering how I could "save the date" if I wasn't given the date.
Posted by: Kim | February 07, 2009 at 03:22 PM
The date of the wedding is May 10, 2009

I thought it was silly too
and to say "I know when the date is" is obnoxious

" save the date" Please don't make any plans for this day. And I am sorry Sarah if you have been hurt by any of my words.

i just want to clarify... i don't care what the date is... i just thought it was silly...

What an AWESOME 'save the date' card!!! Very cool!
Posted by: Kelly H-Y | February 06, 2009 at 04:36 PM
I know the date, and I'm not telling. Does that make me obnoxious or mean? They have the right to keep that private. Sorry for probably being blunt about it.
Posted by: Susie | February 06, 2009 at 02:57 PM
Save-The-Date I am sure is used both as a joke on them being together and as please save the date listed for their wedding! I don't understand why people get so uptight about a small card that they no nothing about! Not trying to be mean but lets just forget the card and remember that these two people are about to become one and they need our prayers not our concern on when their wedding is! Sorry if I hurt any feelings!

They didn't even have to share with us they were getting married as far as I'm concerned.....I didn't announce my wedding details to the world! Hee hee
Congrats again Caleb and Julia.......you are off to a great start in the adventure of marriage; glad you found your superhero!

Miss you Grace; hope you and yours are ok!

Yeah, I am sure that Steven will announce when the wedding is when the time is right. Maybe even at the Nashville, TN United concert who knows? When they are ready to announce it I am sure that they will. For now, they need their privacy and we need to respect their privacy.

I guess we should all be grateful that the year wasn't marked out too. At least we know it's sometime in 2009.
