This is the time of year that I LOVE. The weather is still chilly some days BUT starting to warm up others. The warm suns shines down and on a cold day--feels SO great. I went for a run the other afternoon and although it was only in the 40s (brrrrr) it felt like it could've been in the 60s.
Anyway, this morning I was driving in to work and as I reached to pull down my overhead visor...right in front of me was a vivid reminder of what I'm thankful for this morning. Sorry the pictures aren't really clear but it's pretty cool to see the warm colors through the trees. Man, God is an artist! What a beautiful, amazing work that many days I miss. Maybe this is a sunrise that God let Maria help out with :) ...you know she's up there working at an art table fit for a Princess!! She's got a grin from ear to ear and is eating anything and everything she wants to (my kinda girl ;).
Just think...if this is the kinda sunrise we get down here...wait until we go to our REAL home!
Woo-Hoo!!

I love the beginning of Spring too! Something about the warm sunshine on your face after the COLD days of winter just warms your heart, too! God does pour His blessings on us through His amazing creation. Thanks for the reminder : )

Spring is always my favorite time of year because it's just so exciting to see everything coming out anew and to feel the air get just a little bit warmer every day. Living where I do, I'm blessed to be able to witness amazing mountain sunrises (over the Cascade Mountains) and sunsets (over the Olympic Mountains) pretty much every day. This is the time of year where I can watch the sunrise as I'm driving in in the morning and the sunset either when I get home or on the way. Each one is so different and when there's a truly spectacular one, it just makes my day. Thank you for sharing!

Funny you mention weather going to work this am... I had the very same thought driving to work also. I live in Northwest Penn, it was very chilly this am driving into work... the trees/bushes everything was a true work of GOD it was so beautiful! It was so cold everything looked like it had been spray painted with white glitter paint. I though to myself how lucky I was to see such beauty when many people were sleeping or just waking up!

Thanks for sharing, Grace. Magnificent, the Miracles down here we are given, so, can you imagine Heaven? Some days, on my really good, focused days, it is pure JOY to wait moment by moment, and, wait and watch for the Miracles God continues to allow us to receive, His gifts to us, all we need do is open our hearts and begin unwrapping them. Thank you for sharing one of your Gifts.
I smiled thinking about sweet Maria, hugs to you, Grace...

Thanks for the reminder. This time of year I really start getting depressed because winter has overstayed its welcome and I am ready for the newness and freshness of spring. We are still in the teens right now, but hope is around the corner. It is the winter which makes us really appreciate spring, summer and fall. After dormancy, spring is a time of renewal and refreshment. Praise the Lord that the winter seasons in our lives do not last forever either. Sometimes they feel like they are overstaying their welcome, but hope springs eternal. I am so thankful that we are made for the eternal and not just the temporary.

Hi Grace,
I'm an editor at Adoptive Families magazine, and I'd love to do a brief profile on Steven (including his adoption-themed music and Shaohannah's Hope). I apologize for contacting you this way, but I did not see other contact info. Please let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

Thanks for the beautiful pics and the nudge to be thankful for what's right in front of us. We talk so much about not taking things for granted and we end up doing just that!! At least I do.
Thank you Jesus for this beautiful day you've set before us. Help us to align ourselves with your perfect will for us, for You know best. Amen.
