Woop Woop STEVEY!

Niiiiiiice! This is Stevey Joy's choice of color for her room.  A shade of purple.  We LIKE it!  And, we coordinated perfectly with Stevey Joy and Mary Beth's bedding choice (which she's holding up here).  We've got some finishing touches still to work on...a cool, new light fixture/window treatments/a couple new pieces of furniture/some rugs and who knows what else ;)  Just wanted you all to see it first.  Now, gotta get back to work!

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you have to cram the contents of one large room into a smaller room--all temporarily, of course!  Yup, poor Stevey Joy comes home to THIS while her new bedroom is under construction.  It's gonna be worth it!  You'll see...

Here Mary Beth is working on sorting, clean up and more clean up!  This is what Stevey Joy's room used to look like.  Well, we've actually moved most of the contents out already...  It's out with the old and her turn for a new room!  Yay...it's exciting.  I LOVE this stuff.  And yes...that's wallpaper that needs to be stripped in the background.  It'll be a messy job, but necessary one.  Check back in to see what color Stevey Joy chooses for her new room!

Flowers for Shaoey

Finishing touches on Shaoey's room made last week.  Flowers to match the colored cabinet...remember? (from last summer??)  Can we say "crick in the neck?" ...well, I heard Shaoey loves the flowers so that makes it all worth it.  Now she can lay in her bed and gaze up at em'...yay!

Walked by this the other day and kinda snickered (to myself).  I may get into some trouble by showing you all this...but, these are the shoes that SCC is keeping.  I thought it was cute how he lined them up (so he could actually see them all) and then choose which to keep.  We all know that sometimes lack of closet space causes us to stack and create piles (hah!) making it really difficult to see what we have.

(You may be thinking from this photo that Steven is a shoe shopper.  I'm quite certain it's just the opposite and that he gets many of these from photo shoots and such.  Nice perk, eh?)

This is what WE'VE been up to

Some of you may be wondering how the beginning of 2009 can be SO busy for us.  Well, I'm about to fill you in on what we've been up to :)

Pictured above is not just any bag of shoes...oh no, this is what SCC has decided to get rid of out of his closet.  As you can imagine "spring cleaning" Steven's closet is not what he prefers to do...and, can you really blame him?  I can't say that cleaning out my closet ranks very high on my list of things to do either!  Nevertheless, these are going to be handed down first to the boys if they fit and want any of them and then...hmm...maybe we should post them for auction? 

Thoughts?  Any interest in a pair of SCC's shoes??  (you know with this many pairs...they're probably barely worn in!)

CompassionArt : Creating Freedom From Poverty

I stumbled across this book and album project that both Steven (my boss) and Michael W. Smith were involved in this past year.  (I can't believe I'm writing 2009 on stuff now!)  Steven seems to be involved in so many things that even I don't know about all of them--until something like this falls into my lap!  What a cool project.  Martin Smith and his sweet wife had a vision for this...he put together a team (he along with Michael W. Smith, Darlene Zschech, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Paul Baloche, Israel Houghton, Graham Kendrick, Steven Curtis Chapman, Andy Park, Stu Garrard) of very talented artists to do this album.  All of the proceeds will go to help some of the poorest communities in the world.  Check out CompassionArt for more details.  Blessings to you for an incredible 2009!!!
