I am writing you from the beautiful country of Honduras! I arrived in Honduras early yesterday morning along with fellow Shaohannah's Hope staff members, Nick Lyndon and Wendy Cosby. We are so enjoying our time here. We have had the opportunity thus far of visiting 3 homes for vulnerable and orphaned children. We are being hosted by Buckner International, and have had the privilege of participating in their Shoes for Orphan Souls program. New shoes are collected in the USA and other locations wishing to donate, and then they are sent to various countries and distributed at these homes for highly vulnerable children. Some of these children don't even have a pair of shoes on their feet, and we have been able to offer a pair of new shoes to these children.
Please pray for the children of Honduras. They are such beautiful children, and so precious in God's sight. I feel so honored to be able to spend a week with such wonderful treasures. My challenge to all of you is to remember these children, and the millions around the world just like them, during this holiday season. Remember to pray for those who will wake up Christmas morning without a family to celebrate with.
Stay tuned for more updates from Honduras!

Thanks for the update! I've spent a lot of time working in Eastern Europe with kids and the thought of it still breaks my heart. One day I'll be able to take one of them home with me I hope! All the best for your remaining time there.

Forgot to say! Oneof the (many) times I went to Russia I had a church donate 60kg of good clothing and shoes. Had no idea of what we were going to do with the children's shoes - hadn't been asked for them before on the other end. Packed them across anyway and prayed God would find a way to use them.
Did he ever! During one session, I put out a selection of the clothes. The shoes fell out too. 3 of the young disadvantaged mothers ran up to me, grabbed the shoes, and explained it was so hard to buy for their children (money and location-wise). Would you believe it - the three pairs of shoes I had fit the 3 little children PERFECTLY. Shouldn't have been amazed, but I was! Since then I've always been in awe of those little miracles that occur. Might be small to me, but huge to those on the other end.

Blessings, Emily! My 14 y. o. son went to Honduras this summer. It was his first missions trip. He loved playing with the children there. They did VBS with hundreds and built bunk beds for future missionaries. He also got to visit an orphanage one day, which was special to him, since two of his brothers USED to be orphans. Thanks to God's inspiration through your family, they are both here with us now and it will be our Caleb's first Christmas this year at age 3 1/2! We are so blessed. Keep on in the Lord's work. You are amazing through Him. Continued prayers for your family.

Thank you for being an advocate for international causes. There are very few who travel abroad to be involved in God's work. Praying as always!

How fun to see you in Honduras! We are missionaries to Guatemala and have had the privilege of fostering several babies while their adoptions here are being finished. We had the joy of uniting these babies with their families.
I'll be praying for your mission in Honduras. Pray for the babies in Guatemala. Right now adoptions are shut down and the orphanages are overflowing.
What a blessing to the children of Honduras to have you there!
Merry Christmas!

What a precious bundle. How do you keep from bringing them all home with you?
Thank you for sharing from your heart. Obviously, you are doing what God has called you to. Thank you for challenging each of us to pray, give, and remember those who are orphaned and looking for hope- especially at this Christmas season. Enjoy the remainder of your trip!
